First time I went to texas roadhouse the waitress asked if I wanted cheese and bacon on my fries; it blew my mind. Sadly it was gross, but you get the idea.
It is awesome, maybe your Texas Roadhouse sucked. Don't give up on bacon cheese fries just yet

roadhouse! lol

Looking forward to putting the MSP front sway on...

Are you in need of understeer?

No. But I've got the Progress 22mm rear sway installed and figured the MSP front sway would help with the front end and added weight from the motor and turbo setup. I'm not installing it until the motor is out anyway.

I come from the land of poutine, bacon cheese fries ain't s*** :P

Everything else was good, I love that place (except the wait staff awkwardly line dancing every 30min).

Doesn't that involve removing the front subframe? It seems like a lot of work for minimal benefit...

Hey Nick, pics are up of you too. :)

Hell yeah, action shots!

With the engine removed he can do it from the engine bay. IMO a front sway bar upgrade is a good idea.

I guess the stiffer bar would offset some wobbly-ness from the added weight but aren't both understeer adders (+weight up front and +front stiffness)?

He posted that while I was writing my response. I assumed he was going to change it with the engine in the car...

I agree with you, a fatter front sway bar should make cornering less wobbly :)

Jon, my thinking is if it's OEM for the MSP it wouldn't do any harm on a P5. Especially with the upgraded rear bar in addition to the MSP front sway. Basically I'm upgrading the front and rear equally. And look at all that lean in the auto-x pics. That's with my BC's 9 clicks from full stiff in the front and 3 clicks from full stiff in the rear.

I'm no engineering expert, so I'll always listen to advice. :)

IDK but, I hate that understeer sound. turning and hearing that dddddddddddddddddddddddddd lack of grip (shivers)

I follow that you want to increase the stiffness of the front end but I think that'll lead to more understeer and you'll need to stiffen up the rear even more. IIRC this is why all the Protege racing coilover setups had higher spring rates in the rear.

Well I'll pop it in and try it out when I put the KL in. If it promotes a ton of understeer then I'll swap it with the stocker when I pull the KL again for boost in the fall. Wouldn't the front MSP sway bar just make it handle like an MSP though? I don't see why this would be a problem since it's stock on the MSP, ya know? I would basically have an MSP suspension setup with a Progress rear bar.

MSP's had a tendency to understeer more easily than the P5's did tho (even though the skid pad numbers were better). The Progress should definitely help balance it a bit though.

Yeah, I mean it's still FWD so I'll always have to worry about understeer but I don't think it will be unmanageable if I install an MSP front sway. I would think the benefits would out weigh the negatives.

So while I was thinking about cooling solutions I found a pic of a KLG4 from a 626 that uses the water neck with a coolant overflow nipple. I saw on my water neck I can simply drill/tap that for a fitting to use as the overflow. That should result in the highest point on the motor to purge air and will look clean and a simple setup. I'll just relocated the coolant overflow tank to the pass side which will make more room for the turbo and filter.

This pic is the 2000 626 with the KLG4 and how I would route my cooling system. With upgraded components, of course. ;)
