Cool, I'm deciding on picking up a single EVO seat or going with a full bucket. I made the mistake of selling my harnessbar and FX1 Pro seat.

Damn, Cres. Why did you sell your Corbeau and harness bar? Those EVO seats look really good and a good price of $370. I am looking at a pair of FX1's as well. How did you lke yours? What's your waist size (no homo) and how well did it fit? I know it's kinda hard to describe in words how racing seats fit but the more info I have the better.

Let me look into the guy that does my harness work for me. He is a Porsche racing guy, owns a company called NorthStar Performance out by me in Barrington. He is the one that helped me moc up HANS device and harness bar. Also is the guy who did a rear cage/harness bar/ 5 point in the GT3 that is used to the road courses. He is really good with prices and has a lot to offer information wise.

Derek, that would be greatly appreciated, but I wouldn't want you to go out of your way, mate. Plus Chicago is about an 8 hour drive from me. I'm really just looking for a rear harness bar that is NASA/SCCA legal. Like the one from Autopower for ~$570. I'm not sure a custom harness bar would be less expensive than that or how much the custom route would cost. But I'm always up for saving some money on parts. Thanks! :)

If you want to get really serious, have B3R fab you a full cage like they did for Marlon. iirc...it was around 1200, maybe less? But that might not be budget friendly, or necessary yet lol
Nah, a full cage is overkill for me. I'm just going to be doing HPDE and local track days at BeaveRun and Nelsons anyway. I can't even picture my P6 being in HPDE4. I would have to have a real sports car by then. I'm not planning on any competitive racing so just HPDE's for me and my slow wagon. But I'm pretty sure Marlon is running the AutoPower race bar like I posted in the links, not a full cage and not from B3R. I wouldn't take my car there anyway. But thanks for throwing the option out there.

Heck I could make one, I'm sure it would be not as good and cost not as much, though. (2thumbs)

Yeah, I know between you and Josh we could weld something up but there's a lot more into welding in a cage than just cutting pipes and welding them in.

I've hear good things from SLICK, they did stuff on my Speed3 but no tuning
Matt did a lot of work on my friends Sentra and he's a really cool guy. Just always super busy will real race cars. Not me and my wannabe wagon. heh-heh. If I ever needed anything done that I couldn't do myself I would hit him up for sure though.

Yeah, I know between you and Josh we could weld something up but there's a lot more into welding in a cage than just cutting pipes and welding them in.

By "not as good" I was basically implying that I wouldn't trust myself to do it. There's a big difference between gluing some metal and making something that could stand up to a high speed crash. Maybe one day. ;)

I'm 5'3" 145 (I know...) waste is 32. The Pro I believ would be ok for you wasnt tight on me and because I'm short I kinda had to slouch to reach the pedals...don't laugh.. lol

So this time I'll go with a custom bracket that would put me up 2-3 inches.

Thanks for the info, little guy. ;) I'll probably go with some Corbeau's. Can't beat the price and quality.

I got my new (used) underdrive pulley. I got it for $16.05 shipped from eBay. It's supposed to be an RR Racing pulley but i was skeptical since it didn't have the decal. The seller was really cool and always replied quickly and assured me it is in fact an RR Racing pulley since he bought his clutch, flywheel and MM from them and they are always out of stock on their pulleys. Well, regardless I can't complain for the price. And I took it too work and used plenty of RED Loctite on all the screws for that stupid trigger plate. I'll put it on sometime next month once the Milly is running. I don't want to run the risk of underdriving anything in the winter months.

Yeah, but yours is broken. Haha. (I gave him my old Unorthodox Racing pulley)

But I'll be soooooooooooooo jelly of your motor. (cabpatch)

HAHA Evan you bought that pulley? I was totally watching it, then forgot to place a bid. Good buy

Justin, that's funny.

JK, I thought so too but if you look on their site it looks like just a sticker. I emailed them a few weeks ago when my UR one took a dump and didn't get a reply. The seller seemed legit. I asked him after I payed/received it "Honestly, is this an RR Racing pulley or just an eBay knock off because I don't want to trash my motor." and he assured me it is. I'm still doubtful but for that price I can't complain.

Yeah...if it is real, it was a good buy. And yes after looking at their site, it does look to be a sticker of some sort. I think the old RR-Racing ones where not black and it was etched in, but I could be thinking of another one.

No, I think you're right. I think I remember seeing the old ones were etched. But it's not going on the motor until the P6 becomes more of a track/fun car and doesn't get driven nearly as much as she does now. (Not that I drive much now anyway. My work is 10mins up the road. I'm spoiled)

Haha, nice. I have about a 30-40 minute commute to work. I have driven my old '96 PGt to work a few times, but sometimes I sit in traffic. My ACT HDSS/Fidanza/etc..not much fun to drive in stop and go traffic, lol. Sometimes I luck out and don't get stuck..those are the nice days to drive it to work, lol.

What do you mean "racing the legend"?

Awesome video regardless. Once again, very inspirational and you're a great driver, mate. Thanks! Post moar! haha

this thing
legendcar.jpg

that thing had no place being on a 4 mile race track. He wold top out like at 100. But could take a corner that wide at 100 too.

you can see me freak out in this guys rear view mirror when he swerved into my spot last race I was at. it was the start of this race.

If you guys know anyone selling properly valved coilovers with spring rates around 500-800 please PM me. oh, used and cheap.

Ahh yes, I saw that ugly thing in front.

And that video was freaking frightening. It seems like the Spec Miata guys like to play Nascar out there. Yeah, I'll stick with HPDE for a looooong time. haha.

ps- I wish I knew someone with coilovers for sale but I'll keep my eye open for ya. ;)

Wow, someone had a Legend out at Road America? That would be painful on the two long stretches. They are pretty damn fast for how small they are though.

Spec Miata's have earned the nickname "Spec Pinata" for their racing style. Momentum cars don't like to slow down if they don't need to. Perhaps they can start selling their ****** up body panels to stance guys... they're only going to **** them up anyway.

Oh... back to Evan's car. Don't want to get my wrist slapped again...

Any progress on anything this weekend, or did Pablo use lady hands all weekend? ;)
