It's not. Every time I get some money saved up something comes up. The plan is to have the motor and have it swapped November 4th weekend. :(

I'm all for debate as long as no one gets hurt.

I would love to boost my P5 just because it would be epic to have a boosted KL wagon. People on the highway would not be expecting that. Haha. Or even a 55 shot of NOS. Then again, my focus will be legal road racing where my driving ability (or lack thereof) and suspension/brakes are key.

A boosted KL would be so sneaky itd be hard not to have a little fun with that. But like you said, the biggest focus on the track is suspension and brakes, not to mention power to weight and how it shifts around in the corners. The "driver" mod will come with more track time. Im sure youre not giving yourself enough credit though. You should come out to Chicago sometime to the Autobahn in Joliet for the driving school weekends. 3 days and some serious track time with instructors.

Aside from the suspension/brake work youve done already, what other plans do you have?
I wouldnt mind eventually doing a big break kit myself.

Levi- if you come out for Halloween (and I hope you and Jenn do) we should race for s**** and giggles. On a closed coarse, of course. ;)

Derek- I would love to make it up to Chicago sometime. I'll certainly hit you up when I do. I'm not really sure what I want to do this winter for the P6. I want new seats (fixed back Corbeau's), harnesses and legal harness bar but have a lot of research to do so I'm not wasting money on parts that will expire in 5 years. And a few suspension mods. But honestly, my driver mod is my main focus. I need seat time, badly.

Cheese- my P6 is still my DD. The Milly has a blown headgasket so it's just been chillin by the garage. It saddens me so... :(

Harness bars are a tough decision. Are you looking to go with some permanent or something that is removable? I saw that your rear interior is completely gutted... still that way? If so, why dont you go with welding up a partial roll cage/harness bar that will not only be helpful with body roll, but with good seats (like the Corbeau's) will help you with control as well. Its amazing what being secure in the drivers seat does to your control. And Ive been to OH, there are a lot of places to get some seat time ;).

Well I don't think the Sparco/eBay style harness bars are legal for NASA so I would go with an AutoPower roll bar for about $600shipped.Then get the Corbeaus, or something similar (I'm still testing as many as I can out in person, butt research) and bolt or weld them directly to the floor for more head/helmet clearance to the roof. Then get some Schroth 5 points for the new seats.

OR I can use my exsisting EvoVIII Recaros and some 4-point belts (they don't have the cutout for the crotch belt) and the AutoPower harness bar. I like my Recaros but a friend who races NASA TT said 4 points are no longer legal at Mid-Ohio. So I need to research everything first. But I have two friends (Wes and Ryan) interested in the seats so i could use that money for the new stuff. I just have to read all the NASA rules to see what's legal before I spend a dime.

I had a fixed back Nex brand (cheapo) and a Weapon-R harness (cheapo again) seat in one of my Civics and I loved being firmly planted in the car. That thing handled amazingly so I miss seats/harness. Especially since the P6 will no longer by my DD I will gut the rest of the car and don't have any plans selling it, ever.

And there are some great tracks here in Ohio, I just need to make sure my car is ready to run and I've got the Milly running (knock on wood) my P6 goes kaput. ;)

Haha! Sorry, mate. Fixed it. I was multi-tasking and am terrible at it.

Cool, I'm deciding on picking up a single EVO seat or going with a full bucket. I made the mistake of selling my harnessbar and FX1 Pro seat.

im still not sure if ill make it out or not yet

i honestly think that youd pull on me, even with comparable power, your car is lighter... id still do it for s**** and giggles thought

Let me look into the guy that does my harness work for me. He is a Porsche racing guy, owns a company called NorthStar Performance out by me in Barrington. He is the one that helped me moc up HANS device and harness bar. Also is the guy who did a rear cage/harness bar/ 5 point in the GT3 that is used to the road courses. He is really good with prices and has a lot to offer information wise.

If you want to get really serious, have B3R fab you a full cage like they did for Marlon. iirc...it was around 1200, maybe less? But that might not be budget friendly, or necessary yet lol

Heck I could make one, I'm sure it would be not as good and cost not as much, though. (2thumbs)

For some reason, I think that if the car went to B3R, it would come back with some sort of goofy ass engine malfunction, even though they didn't touch it... Name me one Mazda that's gone there and didn't have issues...

Really not trying to start anything, but yours got some issues after tuning, also. I don't even know where I'd take mine to get tuned, lol.

Well, sure. But I'm not promoting anyone either. The tune isn't the issue on my car, no matter how many times I have to tell people that. I've tried 5 of my own maps, including the one that came on the car, and a few baselines from Flyin' Miata. Based on how it's acting, and all the other bulls*** I've replaced on the car, I'm down to fuel pressure regulator or a bad injector.

But for the remainder of my time owning my particular cars, it may be easier for me to just call my own cars pieces of s*** that are hopeless, before anyone else can.

But again, back to Evan's car.

is B3R actually tuning Fez's car? I thought it was someone else. I've hear good things from SLICK, they did stuff on my Speed3 but no tuning

I know your car isn't a POS, and I didn't say the tune was the problem, either. I didn't know if Fez got his tuned at B3R, but he ended up with 'issues' same as you have 'issues' both non-tune related.
