You mean "tab" right? And I don't ever recall working on your car much in my garage... (wiggle)

And I just spliced the FP and grounded it. I'm an idiot. I'll ground it and terminate the other end and give it a try once my GF shows up so I can see if the FP is working or not. I've got the fuel lines open right now because I didn't label the feed line either before I pulled the FS. Doh!

I'm the king of removing/installing header(s) bolts. Lady hands FTW. haha

Oh. Yesterday Josh welded an extension to my exhaust for me so I can finally bolt that up. I still need to use an exhaust clamp but will seal it with high-temp silicone. And I need to heat up the exhaust hangers to fit better on the P5 chassis.

Josh welds in a tank top, shorts and sandals. Balls of steel. Hahaha

Wow, that is ballsy. I remember it still not being fun in a cotton long sleeve and jeans with tennis shoes...

And by 'it' I meant welding...

*Thinks to himself* If my neighbor can't help me, I need to talk to Josh about welding my turbo inlet pipe...hmmm...

Carry on

They're just sparks....don't be a pussy!!! :P

Actually, they fly/burn through my work uniforms just the same as if I were wearing nothing, so I'm used to being burned. lol

Let me know...I'd be happy to do what I can.

The other 50% is thinking about it. Haha! Seriously though I hope that you are able to get that wiring sorted out sooner rather than later.

Fuel pump is working, yay! It seems like the 18gauge splicers I got may not be working well. I took off the plastic splicer and just twisted the two wires together and the fuel pump spit. Now I just gotta see which one is the feed line...

But that makes me wonder if the rest of the splicers are no good. I originally had 14-16gauge splicers on the wiring and when I took one apart they weren't cutting through into the wires. So I snatched up a bunch 18 gauge ones but now wonder if those are even worth a s***. I soldered/heat shrink wrapped the fuel pump wires so that's good now. I was just using the splicers until I knew everything was running, then go back and solder everything. But now I'm wondering if I should just solder all the connections and hope they don't need to be re-ran. Oy.

i say try to get it running then go back and clean up whatever you want... no point making more work soldering with no real confirmation they are wired in the right spots

the only thing i hate about taps are their ability to let moisture in and corrode the wire or to become loose and make a not so great connection. I soldered every connections and heatshrink or electrical taped and i have real piece of mind. I say the extra effort is worth it now.

These are the ones I used.

They are good quality and all but the wires must be too small that the metal splicer bit doesn't cut into the sheath of the wire. No worries, more soldering tomorrow after work.
