Sorry about my language but... that looks so ******* sick i can' t even describe it. That body color with black wheels is the s***. A bit low for a daily driver or are you just showing off? I don't care I LOVE IT, like a fat kid loves cake!
looks good. I really like the black rims on the orange. I do plan to get similar black rims as you do. I'm interested to see those pictures. Do you really notice a big difference in this car with the short shifter? I've installed them in many cars and some you can really tell and some you can't.

lava orange was only an '04 color for the Mazda3....same with the solar yellow/starlight green mica

^ that looks like at least 3", I've seen a few 3's dropped 2.5" and the tires barely tuck.

and yes you are correct...they did build 900 or so hatches in that color in 2005....but with so few I kind of just ignore it....as do a lot of other people

I do really like the gun metal on the stockers it's very slick. Next week I'm going to the body shop next door to my shop and get a hold of their palette of colors and hold it up against the orange. I'm kind of leaning towards a glossy black though.. always been a big fan. besides, it would completely change the look of the car. I need to find some good websites to buy some parts though.. I'm getting excited.
You may want to consider a deep gunmetal instead of black. Without a stripe or some other way to contrast between the wheel and the tire it may look a bit strange imo.
Since when? I don't even know you, except to disagree w/you about Lava Orange, and that was not meant as a personal attack.
'Have to say that I never really looked at it in those terms.... just did what felt and looked right to me.
I will say that I haven't seen another 3 HB (or sedan for that matter) that looks quite like mine to date. And it is very recognizable as my car.
I agree. Even a light gunmetal would work well, imo.
Gloss black would be too much of a stark contrast, imo.
I think the color used on mine was called new cast iron.

thank man, i used gimp(like photoshop) to do that. i havent lowered my mz3 yet but im going to eventually. Im also going to turbo it in a few years once i get the money, and the rims were suppose to look like BBS LMs they are just knock offs but still look clean

i liked the orange cuz its not like a jetta where literally EVERYONE has one, i wanted something different, glad i went with it haha, i havent installed the short shifter yet it was delayed shipment, i was suppose to get it today but i wont get it till like monday-tuesday, this one prob will cuz it goes down 2 inches shorter and its got different bushings for less throw so id bet there will be

yeah im actually look for advice on what to get, ive only got 400-500 to work with, anyone have good struts and springs they use, i was looking to go 1.25 to 1.75 lower, and any oil pan skid plates that people got so they dont smash their oil pan??
