Leaking oil cap

My oil cap (oil fill on the valve cover) is leaking oil. I've tried to tighten it down pretty tight with no success. I have also flipped the rubber seal gasket around to see if the other side (which is completely flat) seals better, but it still leaks a good amount. The gasket itself does not seem damaged at all.

Anybody else have this problem? Could there be a reason why it would be leak? I don't know much about PCV valves, but aren't they to relieve the air pressure under the valve cover? If it failed, could it lead to overpressure and a leaking oil cap? Just guessing at possibilities here, since it doesn't make much sense that a perfectly fine gasket leaks oil.

Thanks for any that can offer help.

Are you out of warranty????

If not, you paid for it, you might as well use it. Since no one else here has a leaker, yours must be unique. Since the leak could be symtomatic of something else, I'd be wanting a service tech. to have a look if it were my car. Jim
