i launch around 3200 to 4000 what about ya'll?? and about popping clutch how many of yall do this and is it bad/???

to me popping clutch is when i hit the clutch and shift quick then release the clutch fast and making the car make a thump sound that feels like a hard quick jerk and continuing into 3rd and 4rth changing at 6500 each time there might be another name for it

Well I took a buddy of mine who has lots of experience racing some serious cars that are in the 11's and 12's...he really knows how to race a car
He figures the best rpm to launch the car at is anywhere around 3500...remember you dont wanna squeal your tires because youll lose time off the line...so you wanna chirp them and have them grab quickly...3500 has been doing that for me.
What you seem to be describing there is "power shifting"....keeping your foot to the floor on the gas and quickly hammering the clutch while shifting gears...it will eventually f*** your tranny, but if you dont do it a lot I guess its ok...Our car has short shifts and this same guy said our gears mesh real well...i.e. when you power shift the rpm barely goes up/screams...so this car in that manner handles power shifting well....although you will eventually screw the clutch or tranny or blah blah blah :D

Popping the clutch is not that important of a term. Like Kurt said, you don't want to have wheelspin. That does you no good. There is a way to launch every car that makes it feel like it "jumps" off the line. There is no set way to do that but if you can figure it out you will have great times.
Launching is all about clutch play. Let it out quickly but be careful. The best thing to do is go to a parking lot and figure it out.
And that powershifting stuff, I wouldn't recommend it. I have never done it so I don't know if it is faster or not but it will screw up your tranny. You are best just learning how to shift quicky and SMOOTHLY from gear to gear.
