:D Hey everyone!!

I got my yellow P5 last week. It is cool. I never think i will purchase the Mazda P5. I was looking for more power vehicle, especially the Subaru Impreza WRX. But then i have some money problems, so i turn to P5 which is good looking and sporty. Another reason i bought this car is because this car is not too many on the road especialy the vivid yellow. Anyway, I paid $18060 for it with Polish alloy wheels, Cargo net, Wheel locks, carpeted Floor Mats, and 4-SPD Sport Mode Auto Trans ( Which is the last one in that color in California!!!) The dealer wounldn't negotiate after they found out it was the last one. Could anyone tell me how the price sounds. is it too expensive?
The 2003 P5 is coming out later next month, but I bought the car anyway because the 2002 mazda 0% down and APR.
**So far the everything looks fine, only something that bother me which is the connection between the door and the end of the dashboard at the driver site were not clse enough, leaving a gab between them.

That's not too bad. I paid $17500 for mine with pretty much the same stuff you have. Only difference is you have the polished wheels, so that might make up for the difference...

jimyau, Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to our Club. There are TWO BIG fridge'S in the corner with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. (stash)

make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

darn you! i was looking for yellow about a month ago, here in Los Angeles. There were none anywehre close to here!!

lucky bastard. hehe. jk.

Anyway, i wanted a MT, I got that, so its all good.

I've seen dealers use that tactic before. I would not be surprised if there were more, but they just didn't want to tell you. I got my 2002.5 for about 2000 cheaper, and the only option you have that I don't were the polished rims.

Damn man, you sound like the friendly Giant... Ah rusty.... where are you now :D

did you get it at Browning Mazda in Cerritos?

I saw that they had TWO yellow P5's, but one was not the mid-year refresh.

yellow's a neat color, but it's definitely a CHP/LAPD magnet.

Deamn guys,
i think u paid too much.
I got mine for only $14988 plus tax and licence fee. Mine is stick and doesn't have the polished rims. But still.

I got my 2002.5 Silver P5 with the Sport Automatic for $16,500 before taxes and license fees at Irvine Mazda on June 1st. I actually wanted a Yellow one at first but couldn't find one that wasn't "loaded" with unwanted options. Irvine had one but they added lo-jack for $695 more and tinted windows, which was ridiculously $300 extra. Anyway, I'm glad I got the silver cuz now I notice that the yellow is too deep/dark for sunny California.

Nice deal on the 0%! But sorry to burst your bubble but that BS your dealer fed you about the last Yellow P5 is doodoo. If a dealer ever did that to me I would bite his head off. :bs:

Just got back from Anaheim Mazda and they had a nice 2002 yellow P5 sitting front and center. And a quick browse on mazdausa.com shows that several other dealers in SoCal also have them.....

Speaking of colors, i love that midnight blue but its the hardest to find! Each dealer only has like one, and always auto. grrr. I do like the black though, the metallic paint is nice, not just a flat black.

As for price, all that matters is that your satisfied with it.

true... true...

Yeah, I paid about $18,041.xx with the following;

-polished alloys
-car cover
-cargo net
-cargo tray
-extra key fob
-chromatic mirror including install
-moonroof

that included all taxes, fees, license. I got to use their S-Plan. I'm sure that someone out there might have gotten a better deal. But, down here in San Diego I was happy with the price I got and that I was able to use the 4years 0% financing and no payment til January 2003.

As for that being the last one in CA. They might be right. It all depends on what options/color you wanted. I know that I tried three different places at the same time (Cush Mazda, El Cajon Mazda, www.carsdirect.com, John Hine Mazda) and I had them all looking for 2002.5 Silver P5 with all of the options above, with ABS and side airbags. None of them could get me one. All they had was black (up in Norco) and yellow (I dunno where). I wonder if they yellow was the one you got? Anyhow, my wife didn't want yellow. So, we gave up on the ABS and went with the Silver one.

enjoy!
