Larger Injectors For Forced Induction

Quick question. I currently have the NSN 550cc injectors but they dont sit really well when its all bolted down, and that it probablly cause i have the 626 intake mani, I used the NSN longer bolts and all.

But I was considering getting the sti pinks 575cc cause they are direct drop in, BUT will the NSN injector plugs work with the Sti injectors?? My guess is not cause the Sti pinks use the same harness as the oem mazda ones. If thats the case where can I get a set of oem harness plugs or aftermarket injector plugs that will work with the Sti pinks?? And is it even worth changing the injectors.

What did you do with your OEM ones?
And the JDM STi's are 550cc..The factory 06+ WRX injectors flow a bit more and are far easier to get.
Just FYI.

I think I still have 3 of the oem clips, but I couldnt find the 4th. Also arent the WRX injectors 440cc or is that for the older ones. You think mazda would sell the injector clip separately??

The factory 2006 up USDM WRX injectors are 560cc(dark blue/green in color), and are also used in the new STi's as well. The old WRX injectors (light/sea green) are 440cc.

The older WRX injectors are 440cc's.
The 06+ are 565cc and outflow the pinks.

Cool, last question i promise. Does mazda sell the oem injector clips?

The injector clips are somewhat "universal" if you look on ebay for injector clips, you'll find some. THe ones that came with my Haltech were of the "universal" type, i tried them on my old stock injectors, my dad's vette, etc. It fit them all.

Appreciate it, thanks.

The NSN injectors will sit at a little of an angle but they seal up properly, so I'm not quite sure why you are concerned or worried about them. As long as there is not a vacuum leak around the injector then there is no issues with them sitting a little off. There are ways to shim them etc with washers etc to get them to look more perfect but since they worked as is we never messed with them.

The only thing I was really concerned about is the fact that the 626 intake mani, doesn't use 4 bolts to hold down the fuel rail like th oem one. So I only have 2 bolts holding it down, and I couldn't use any of the spacers that came with the kit, all I had to do was tighten it down pretty good.

Sorry if i came of negative, my intention wasn't to put down the NSN kit, I just thought cause I have the 626 mani that I might give me issues down the road.

ahhhh... I missed the 626 part of the equation. I was just concerned that something wasn't right or you were having problems, and wanted to make sure that you were aware from my side what I did or didn't expect with the kit and why. But if you have it on a 626 and don't have the spacers in and are on only 2 bolts I could definitely see that being a concern or worrisome. I'm following now!! LOL.
