LA Shop...where do you get work done?

Just got my 3 and it needs some work (it's a lease though) - where should I go - where have you gone?

engine work and maybe sound - it's a lease so i think i can put in an intake and 'chip it'

if youre doin engine work, it better to do it off yourself cuz shops charge an arm and a leg for simple installations. theres plenty of "how to" instructions on this forum. and if youre gonna "chip it"....dont. if its those cheap horsepower chips from ebay, its s***.

juss remember to keep all your stock parts cuz the car is "leased"

there are tons of shops ... just drive around your area and you'll probably spot a few. as for which ones are good? i dunno.

what kind of engine work... seems like you're talking about intake, headers, etc? you can do that yourself with a few tools. save yourself the money and learn a few things.

shoots dude, I wouldn't even waste my time or money if the car is only a lease. Not to bring negativity to the thread, but unless your thinking about buying the car after the lease ends, I'd stay away from mods and save the money for other things. Not only that, but if you modify the engine, you give up your warranty and if the engine ever craps out on you, your ******. They won't fix anything under warranty and you'd have to pay out of your pocket. Once again, I'm not trying to break your balls or anything, but I used to work as a technician at a VW/Mazda dealer and i've seen this type of thing happen, and I know how bad it is when you find out everything is voided.
