i have been running these since winter. i like them

theyre pretty good. they last pretty long too. the previous owners swapped the dunlops for the kumhos at around 20k and now i'm around the 50k mark. i check the thread wear and theyre decent at the moment. haha didnt help that i got a flat though >< a big ass nail (about 4 inch) punctured my tire but sears fixed it up for free. overall i like them xD but i'm planning to get toyo proxes later hehe

I advise you to stay away from the Toyo Proxies TPT tires!

They're all season's... Kumho makes good tires in general. You may want to look at the SPT as well.

You'll also find more sizes if you go to a 205/50 from the 195. It's a pretty wierd size, which tends to drive the price up.

Put some on about 2000 miles ago. So far I love them. I can feel the difference in handling and they are awesome in the rain.

was planning on getting proxes 4s cause my dad is good friends wit the toyo tire dude. whats wrong wit the TPTs though? i did a search and the only thing i can find was that toyos wear faster haha

i got a good deal on these (215/45/17).... i like them. low noise and they handle decently. not as good as the my last set of Kumho Supra 712, but good enough for daily driving and some spirited driving around the mountain twisties near my house.

ya those are some good tires. They are suppose to have harder inside edge walls to compensate for camber issues which lead to uneven wear of the tires. I bought those for my last mazda i owned before I sold it and they seemed to perform just fine.

I personally dont liek the ecsta asx tires, i dont have them or have had them, but my brother had them on his integra, and my friend has them on his turbo civic. the integra was all stock and still broke them free in second gear for a little mroe then a chirp, they do last forever tho, well compared to my paradas, handling wise, they are OK, if your not curving the back country roads too much they will work, so:

My opinion summarized:
Tread Wear: 9/10
Handling: 6/10
Grip Dry: 5/10
Grip Wet: 5/10
Light Snow(drove them once when my brother had them on the integra during winter): 8/10(compared to other all seasons i have driven on)
Noise: Pretty Quiet at highway cruising speeds
Grip with Turboed cars: 1/10(friends civic breaks them free all day long until 4th gear, and hes only on 14psi right now)

wouldn't a harder outside edge help camber issues??

Nope.. its the inside. Think about it.. with oversize rims your car sits like this / \ maybe not that extream.. but it puts more force on the inside walls of the tires. .which the harder inside of the ASX's work well on.

so...oversized rims give you extra camber? Seriously? lol
The problem with camber challenged cars (*cough* protege) is that as you enter a corner, instead of staying upright, or leaning a smidge to the inside of the car, the inside tire leans AWAY from the car. Which means if you were just going to stiffen 1 sidewall, you'd want the outer 1 which takes the most abuse to be the stiffest.

But hey, what do I know?

Well i'm just going off experince and going through 3 sets of 18inch rims when i had my protege. All the tires wore on the inside edge. Perhaps it was just my camber that needed adjusted and not all proteges have that particular problem.. but when I put the ASX's on them.. i didn't have that issue anymore.
