Kill your Turkey V.2

What I am wondering is, in addition to a larger inlet/outlet bpv/rdv would it be important to cap of the current location of the recirc inlet on the air intake pipe on my sri which is near the turbo inlet and relocate the 1" fitting farther up the intake pipe so the recirc air is not being released right by the turbo inlet?

By moving it closer to the MAF, you are introducing the possibility of turbulence induced stalling. Injen ran into this problem back in early/mid 03 while prototyping their intake... don't make the same mistake they did. :)

The 1" fittings and valve will be plenty... I wouldn't move it very much (if at all).

Thank you, the only place I may move it is from the right side to the left side just for the sake of better airflow from the outlet of the rdv to the intake inlet because putting it where it is now I would have to come over the pipe and put a bend in the hose to make it connect

505 Zoom, I know you test stuff for Boostsciences, do you know of any other way to contact them other than email? I ordered my RDV last wednesday and havent received any correspondance other than my paypal receipt. I have emailed them about the status of the order but I havent heard anything back yet. They are still in business right?

I ordered an RDV from them a few weeks ago and it came; they are definitely still in business :D

how long did it take? like i said i placed order on wed and have heard nothing and I have emailed them twice now without any response

You didnt cover Dual Port Valves, like the Turbosmart I have. It is a direct factory replacement, is fully adjustable, and it vents and recircs 50/50.

mgerst1, could Tophers problem be a tension issue, like the valve doesnt have the proper adjustment for the amount of Boost hes runnin?

that could be it too but the quick fix is usually running a dedicated vac line

As far as time frame, I do not remember exactly. I got the receipt like you but I don't think any other follow-up emails. Maybe call them if you don't get it by Friday. I'm sure you'll see it soon though.

Be ready to say bye to your turkeys! You'll love the thing once you get it on.

i hope so, ill give it some more time. makes me feel better about not getting any follow up emails. I wish i could call but they dont list a phone number

do you have a fmis or smic? if you have the smic could you take a pic of the bay so i can see how you connected the outlet of the rdv to the air intake pipe?

my car has been down since the first part of august...i installed a vibrant vacuum block over the weekend and i will have a dedicated line for the BOV. i hope to have my car up and running this weekend...i'll let you know how things go.

do you have the forge bov? if running the dedicated line doesnt work and you have the forge bov try putting one of the other springs in, stiffer if it blows off too soon or softer if it blows off too late
