What I am wondering is, in addition to a larger inlet/outlet bpv/rdv would it be important to cap of the current location of the recirc inlet on the air intake pipe on my sri which is near the turbo inlet and relocate the 1" fitting farther up the intake pipe so the recirc air is not being released right by the turbo inlet?
By moving it closer to the MAF, you are introducing the possibility of turbulence induced stalling. Injen ran into this problem back in early/mid 03 while prototyping their intake... don't make the same mistake they did.

The 1" fittings and valve will be plenty... I wouldn't move it very much (if at all).
