OK,... with my new, but yet to be installed fuel filter in one hand, and a beer in the other, I have come to a most definite conclusion that it is indeed the red wire to cut.
I would suggest seriously going all out and do the fuel filter too. After all you'll have the cover off and that's at least 2% of the filter change job.

yea, thats what i have thought to do...and yea, red wire, more common sense to tap...thanks a lot, ill keep you guys posted when i have this done...
