Kicked the s*** out of a 97 Integra Type-R

Pulled over and the guy was VERY surprised at my car. He had a few mods.... intake, new cat back, and a few other minor add ons but nothing major. I think stock his car pulls right at 200hp. Very quick car. This morning I bumped my MBC to peak at about 11.5PSI and went for a drive. Rest of my mods are in my sig

We went once from a dead stop on an access road. For some reason the torque on my car is ******* awesome off the line. Even on my dyno my torque shot straight up instead of a slow steady climb. Anywho got a good jump on him and maintained it.... got to a curve and of course he slowed down a bit :) We then got on the highway and he caught back up.... got even and then he punched it.... got a good jump on me. I threw it back to fourth and ended up peaking at 12PSI... didnt hit fuel cut once (thank you FCD). By that time i had 4 or 5 car lengths on him.

I'd love to know how much HP I'm getting at 12PSI. It's ******* insane right now. Wouldnt recommend runing 12psi daily but for a nice drive it's lovely.

ofcourse your gonna win with 12psi of boost.

Try racing a GSR with a greddy tdo5-18G at 6.5psi. It will destroy you. Comparing a N/A car to a modded turbo car isn't exactly fair.

I used to own a 99 civic with a td04-15g and with only 14psi of boost i could make a guy in a z06 piss in their pants. Honda motors make so much power when boosted.

Hmm.. Modded N/A Car to a Modded turbo car? How can you say its not fair? They both have basically the most stuff they can do with bolt ons. Just because a turbo car gets more performance out of there mods... i wouldn't call unfair. What if he were to say, try racing me with a t03/04 turbo with forged pistons. Then what you gonna say to that? Because the amount of money that GSR spends on that turbo is the amount of money we could get.. Not trying to say anything to start a flame war.. Its just my opinion. Great Kill BTW

I think that their light weight, from being built with beer can like material, also helps out with the speed.

just my 2 cents. :D

uhm, 90% of the time a modded turbo car is faster then a modded n/a car. All the outlaw class for import drag is turbo.

Try running a stock type r vs a stock msp. See who gets their butt whooped. The B18C5 is far superior to the ford motor we have on our cars.......don't even let me go in to which car has a better tranny.

I've driven both hondas and now i own a msp, so i can safely say that the engines/trannys in a honda is light years ahead of what the protege has.

thing about what you just said.........
You can up the boost on a turbo car to get lots of power. On a N/A car an exhaust and intake will net maybe 6 to 8 hp to the wheels. Fully built N/A will typically cost more then a turbo car and is harder to get more power out of.

Soooo he can't race anyone unless it's turbo on the 4th of July with a half moon and wind a 5mph N of NW?

C'mon he didn't diss the car, just talked about his race. Not his fault the teg didn't have a turbo. Hehehe.

Good kill.

Its like racing a m3 with a civic. You might win but there really is nothing to brag about.

LoL, Through Twisties? I think that would be an even challenge. But I recall some magazine did say this MSP is better than a Type-R. Better Tranny? Who says we need better tranny's at stock? once again we are talking about Stock?

All I have to say is Speedvision World Challenge. Our Two Tri-Point MotorSports Cars whooping up on Honda/Acura.

Ok I can't figure this out. You said your old 99 civic with td04-15g with 14psi of boost would make guys in z06 piss in their pants. Then you go and say racing a civic vs. a m3 is a maybe win but there isn't really nothing to brag about?? But wait didn't you just brag about "potentially" destroying z06 with your civic?? (screwy)

So... its there loss and our win. It doesn't mean its unfair.

i was saying lets say that you have a m3 and you raced a civic and won. Okay so you won, but whats the point?

Ohhh, lol, thought you were talking the other way around. :D

Anyways, the ITR is a kick ass car. A MSP, even being boosted, can have a hard time beating one. :D They are swell cars for factory.

LoL if theres nothing to brag about then, why are you comparing your old car to your new car? Our cars are way less "superior" comapred to a M3. Your Bragging about how fast your old car was... You Just OWNED yourself because you drive a MSP.

drove my friends 99 prelude around this weekend. The tranny in that car is perfect. Hondas sure know how to make a great gearbox.
