Keyless entry

I own a 2010 CX-7 and have only had it a few months and for some reason the kelyess entry stops working. I have had 3 batteries in just as many months. Any ideas what is causing this??

is it the advanced key or the standard?

in my speed 6 with the advanced key I needed to have the rear sensor thing replaced twice under warranty. plus I needed to bend the contact in the key a little while back to make better contact with the battery, but thats an 06. i'd say take it in to the dealer either way, make them replace the battery.

not sure what the problem is if you have the standard key. i'd take it to the dealer when its dead and make them buy the new batteries. if you can get them to replace it more than a couple times they'd probably replace the key.

The first time I bought the battery, one week later they replaced it. One week after that they replaced it, Again.

if you keep it in your pocked with other keys, maybe somethings pressing the button(s) enough to wear out the batteries?

i guess i would just keep taking it back until they replace the whole unit. keys are expensive, so I'd be a dick about it.

The keys are for my wife's car, which I don't drive that much, so they don't get used often. I don't really keep my keys in my pockets.
2nd trip to the dealership is scheduled for this weekend.

Key was replaced today, under warranty.
