is it possible to get the original harness for the kenwood mp3 radio from kenwood? i want to put the radio in another car. will it work if i get the harness? i already have the pioneer top of the line dvd/7.5 inch screen indash receiver so i have no use for the kenwood receiver from my mazdaspeed. so i figured i would put it in another car.

Yes- the radio can go in other vehicles.

Regarding the wiring, you will need to get an adapter harness from someone like Scosche for whatever the new vehicle will be.

You can also get the generic harness that you find in the retail radio, but then you will need to match up wires, etc.

Your best bet is the first option. No need to cut wires, solder, etc.

You'll also probably want to get a new mounting sleeve/kit. I think you can get those from the Kenwood (1800kenwood)

i was also thinking of just adding the kenwood mp3 to the pioneer dvd radio that i have and just plugging it to the aux port. could i just move the kenwood down and add the pioneer to the top and get rid of the mazdaspeed pocket all together? would i have to take the whole center apart for that or could i just remove the kenwood radio, pop out the sleeve, put it on the bottom and install my other radio on top.
