Kartboy Exhaust Hangers

Put my order for the Kartboy exhaust hangers in on Sunday. They came today. Only got to install the rear hangers (due to lack of light), but I can already tell how much more stable it makes the exhaust. for the past couple weeks, my exhaust would sometimes rest on the axle and would rattle on it when i was in idle, but only after hard driving. i think this was because the high temps of the exhaust loosened the OEM hangers therefore "lowering" the exhaust on the axle. Im very impressed with the hangers and how much better they keep the exhaust in place. the best thing about my whole experience was the Twizzler included in the packaging!!!

i have been meaning to order these... i will have to order a set this week... some times during cold start ups my exhaust hits my rear bumper, hopefully this will stop it.

It probably won't help you because Mackdaddy installed his on his P5 and it brought the muffler even closer to the bumper. Unless Kartboy changed their product.

i can always adjust the position of my muffler... i like it as close as possible w/out touching. These should limit alot of the play the stockones have.

i just order a set just now... i guess i will find out.

funny i have the exact opsite problem...my thermal exhaust rests on the axle until the car has heated up, this only seems to happen when its -20 celcius out...then again my exhaust sits rather low.....if only it were not so cold i'd install those rubber hangers

what is it with all these low hanging exhausts.. i tossed on a jic and it hangs low and rattles when its cold too. and i dont think i installed it upside down... man that would be dumb...

well i drove my car for the first time this morning with the rear hangers installed only. during the first 3 minutes of driving, the exhaust would rattle in low RPM's. but after it all went away. it has to be something about the temperature...

im waiting to get my downpipe before i install the other hangers, but any bit helps. i know it wouldve been easier to install if the exhaust was off already...

Hmm I can't seem to install mine on my own!! :( The company I went to for my custom 3' exhast welded a washer on both ends of the metal hanger- trapping the rubber hanger in.

There are two metal hangers holder the rubber on. How on earth did you guys manage to get them off?

yea, i had the same problem. the one closest to the bumper on the right, came off easy. the second one, i cut with a razor blade. figure im never gonna use them again, so just cut them. when you put them on, just make sure you push the smoother part of the hole on the hanger first.

im in NYC right now, and i havent heard a single rattle from the exhaust since the first morning. just like frosted flakes, theyre grrrrrreat!

Can one of you guys take a pic of the rear hanger installed? I'm currious to see if I have different metal hangers that were welded on.

i just got mine today.. Twizlers were good :)

Ill take a pic of my rear hanger, when i get around to throwing these bad boys on..

ahah I can't believe I didn't get any candy!! I was going to cut my rear stock hanger off last night but then I got scared that I might not be able to ge the kartboy one on by myself... so I went up to my room and cried.. :(

But I think I'll try tonight... It just seems like the 12mm hole is so much smaller then that top metal hanger.(uhm) Will it fit? Should I use some lube? ahah

i used the 12mm hangers on the rear. didnt need any lube to remove/install the first hanger. again, i had difficulty removing the second hanger, so before i cut it, i tried lubing it up, but it didnt work. installing them is so much easier than removing them...

Any updates? I just got my jack back today from a friend but I'm too tired to attempt to get the rear one on there.
