I hate to admit it, but the Spec V is just better. It not by any means disappointing. I got to hammer it in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear. Broke the tires loose going into 2nd and 3rd. And the limited slip made it presence know in the first hard turn I took. Can you say OVERSTEER. Damn it really made me wish I had waited another month to choose a car. Oh well.....I'll just have to make the best of my MP3. Anyone else get to test drive one?

one more reason i am glad i bought my mazda: when i went to my local nissan dealer, the sales person blew so much smoke up my ass about the price of the spec-v and the value of my trade-in. lets just say that after an hour of my time, the spec-v got $900 more expensive and my car droped about 4k. then when i said i would like to test drive the car, i was told that they did not allow test driving of the spec-v. this is after i saw another sales person the day before bark the tires in second gear comming off the lot. what a bunch of a-holes. god i am glad i bought a mazda!!!!

I'm not talking about the salesman, just go to another dealership to solve that problem. I'm talking about the performance of the car. I had to go to 3 dealership to my test drive. At the 3rd dealership I got the test drive and the guy was cool. He had a Lexus SC coupe. He was showing us his Abflug front bumper he had just bought for it. I'd never let a sales person make a decision for me as far as liking a car goes. Just let them know who the boss is. They'll go to their manager and he'll check them and he'll have to kiss your ass to make the sale. ;)

yes apex i also test drove the car. it seems like the horsepower it claims. as far as waiting one more month to had purchased a car i'm very happy with my mp3. Ours already come w/ mods, the spec-V does not so that is a + for us. Oh well we just have to sacrifice w/ horses but what the heck i enjoy driving it and people looking at it.

I didn't get to test drive a spec-v yesterday, but I did go look at one. The salesman kinda knew his stuff. I was grilling him with questions like 0-60 times ect, he didn't know those though. I did sit in it however. It just wasn't, comfortable. The seats were stiff.

Very true, I love too see people breaking their nexts tryin to sneak a peek at my MP3 on the freeway. But I'd honestly would love to have more power from the factory and the slip would be nice to have. To bad one for our cars is about $1300.
