Just picked up my newest Mazda

well I wanted something cheap for a while b/c my car payment + insurance was adding up to almost $600/month - thus old miata (no car payment + cheap insurance)
my driving record has improved and my insurance has gotten cheaper, so I could afford to get into something a bit newer

So, now that you've had it for a bit, how do you like it?
Does it feel huge/sluggish/heavy to drive? You're coming from a Miata and a modded Protege, as am I, so I'm very curious what you think. The 6 wagon or hatch are pretty high on my list for next car.

Sorry, I didn't see this post before. It's definitely bigger. But I was ready for something a bit more upscale. While it's nowhere near as nimble as a Miata or Protege, it handles quite well for a big sedan. It has a nice feel and decent feedback, and when you get on the throttle it goes - way more so than any car I've had before. I don't regret the purchase at all.
So far my only real issue is an off-idle throttle lag that may be related to a defective throttle body. There's a TSB for this that I'll have to look into.
