i just did a clutch in my 03 p5 and decided to upgrade to a lightened flywheel. i installed a spec 8lb flywheel. i realy recomend everyone do this!
the result was amazing!

Glad you had a great result. I'm close to purchasing a Fidanza to store until I need a clutch. Why did you go with the Spec?

My question as well. Is the Spec cheaper?

I'm trying hard to justify the cost, as it means less parts for my "fast" car if I buy mods for my P5. But yes, a light flywheel is worth every penny...the difference in acceleration is impressive. I've done it several times before. :)

honestly is was that i got a smokin deal on ebay. the seller had bought it for his car and lost interest in it so i snagged it fo 200
usually the spec is more exspensive

pros. faster acceleration, quicker throttle responce, more power

cons......... the only issue i have had is that i had to get used to take off at a slightly higer rpm ( very slight increase) i have stalled the car 2 times in traffic but honestly got used to the difference very quick. i was worried about a loss of torque but i realy havent noticed any loss so there are no cons to this just a slight change in driving style

This. It means less weight for your engine to turn...meaning more power and torque reaching the wheels. Since it has less inertia, one "con" may be that your revs will decrease slightly quicker when shifting. But I never considered this much of a con.
