Just installed my AEM short ram

It took me 3 hours because it was my first intake, but i'm happy with it. The hardest part was taking off the stock intake, man that thing wouldn't budge, the bolts or the screws. I haven't put my purge solenoid on the AEM itnake, just ziptied it to the air hose near the nipple It sounds so nice. It loud and deep, and people can hear it from far away. I think I may be sucking in too much air, but I can't hear anything from the back of the engine near the purge solenoid. Is the intake supposed to sound that loud at idle? all that sucking noise? Anyways, it sounds great and thye did an excellent job and i'll try to post pics tomorrow.

hmmm i wouldnt say loud... but yes definatly you should hear it hissing away!

yea i just put my SRI for my 5speed the other day...i LOVE it..nasty loud..or what i consider to be loud..so much your first few days driving right? haha...have fun man

The sucking noise is normal, its just that you can hear your engine breathing now without all of that bulls*** that comes on it stock .
