And it really, really sucks. Well I was on Buford Drive heading away from Mall of Georgia and came to the stop light at the Rock Springs intersection. Well about a half-mile away from the light, an accident had already happened with cop cars out and lights flashing like crazy. Well I turned my head to take a quick look at it and turned back to the road and everyone ahead of me must of done the same thing and made a quick hard stop. Well I also made a quick stop and was about a foot or so away from the car in front of me at a complete stop. About a second later, I get slammed in the rear very hard and the stereo comes flying out (poor thing), and I go forward and then back by the locking of the seatbelt (always wear your seatbelt!). My car went forward some from the impact and apparently made contact with the car in front of me.
So I ended having front and rear damage, and after dealing with the police and getting everyone's information down, the fault was clearly at the driver behind me. The police officer at the other accident scene also witnessed the scene with driver in the back of me, slaming into my rear end pretty hard.
But this comes to a good end! I always wanted to repaint my bumpers, because I have a yellow P5, and the bumpers had an ugly fade to them compared to the rest of the car, so now I get them replaced and looking like new for free at least, heh. All of the damage done was just to the body, and the car actually handled the accident very well. It's still perfectly driveable, but it just really blows to know the car went through some damage and also having to drive around with it temporarily with damage.
So, be careful driving these next few weeks, especially on weekends. Crazy drivers out there trying to get Christmas things and all done.
Edit: Here are some pictures, damage isn't horrible, but anything is bad for her, lol.
