Just got my license back after 3 months suspension!

i only had one speeding ticket and it was a stupid on at that in 2008 of may i was driving in a school zone and it 25mph from 2pm-4pm and i was doing 30mph and when it not a school zone hours it 35mph at 3:57pm i got stop doing 30 on a 25 on a school zone it suck had to pay 400 dollars not to get point on my licence.

I have had 2 photo radar tickets for 15km/hr over - 75km/hr in a 60km/hr zone. Photo radar so just had to pay up, no demerits.

I received 2 tickets from officers. 1 was 30km/hr over - 130km/hr in a 100km/hr zone. I usually cruised at 20km/hr over as everyone does and the officer clocked me as I started decelerating at the 100km/hr transition sign.

The other ticket I had was an unsafe maneuver ticket. I was on the way to the hospital for surgery and was cruising behind someone who was doing 90km/hr then 120km/hr and back and forth. I pulled out to pass with oncoming traffic (safe distance away). I put my foot into it with the speed3 (I had it for a week) and hit 150km/hr passing the @$$hat in front of me in 6th gear. There was an MP behind the oncoming vehicle that clocked me at 150km/hr. I then had to wait 30mins for a cop to get from another town to the highway to give me a ticket. I explained myself and instead of charging me for 50km/hr over, he cut me a break with the unsafe maneuver ticket.

There are my stupid maneuvers. Ticket free for about 2 years now.

102 in a 55, got a driving award and 30 days walking papers, about 1300 dollers later, 3 pts to licence, and i was off last tickit i got was about 15 years ago. only car ive owned that you can row thrugh a couple gears and be doing a hundred. i remember when we were younger in the beaters you had to have a perty long straightaway to even see a hundred and when you got their the doors were shaking felt like you going into orbit motor winding to beat the band and you new you were doing a hundred. this new car is smooth as silk at speed i took it to 145 once smooth that was on a track of course killed a rx8 with a gready turbo kit by about 15 car lengths he was sad mine was bone stock at the time

If you're in Canadia...you can do 95mph (~145kph)
and be totally fine...everyone does it, soccer mom's ...old folk and such...go 150kph and you lic revoked and car tow treatment.

I cruise control 5 over...everywhere I go.
but launch at on ramps and break later on off ramps.
and take the 'U' ramps with tires screechin :P

oh and last one was about 3 years ago.
CAR: 75 in a 45...reduced to 3 point ticket and $150 fine. but still lesson learned...all the court hassle and such

I know an old man (much younger then) who was clocked doing 159 in a 55. Long story short...no ticket but got a write up in the paper as the state police were still looking and looking.

i got pulled over for street racing over the summer. had to sign a pa and had court a few weeks later. they gave me 100 hours community service and after that was done in 7 weeks plus my full time job i got off with a speeding ticket and all fines remitted. if i didn't have a lawyer i'm pretty sure i would've gotten some time...oh but i did win the race :)

i was clocked at 85 in a 55 not too long ago. state boys pulled me over and ticketed me. i set up a court date the next day and went in 2 months later. the cop never showed up and the judge just told me to leave and "follow the damn speed limit" :)

Lulz, I got arrested for NegOp doing 122 in a 65 (the interstate) in my SRT-4. Apparently the state trooper that clocked me didn't like me ripping it on a long, empty straightaway. First time offense in my whole driving life, I ended up paying $380 and got 2 points on my license.

That will never happen again. Needless to say, I use the cruise every chance I get in the MS3.

and exactly how long would that "whole driving life" be??

Rules to follow if getting pulled over (for anything):

Find a very safe place to pull over. If the party lights are on and there's no place to stop safely, both for your sake and the law, try to indicate that you're going to to pull over in a safe spot as soon as you spot one. If they get on the loudspeaker and tell you pull over NOW, just do it anyway.

Keep both hands visibly on the steering wheel, and don't reach for your registration or anything unless they ask for it. As a safety issue for you, lock the doors and keep your windows up (unless they're down already) in the unlikely even that it's not a real cop.

Basically, be very predictable so they don't perceive you as a threat. Don't do anything unless asked to. Period.

First impressions count a lot, so comply and be polite no matter what they say.

If asked, "do you know why I stopped you?" say yes if you know. Answer all questions truthfully, even if it comes down to something like "I just wanted to see what my car could do in a safe place."

Meanwhile, keep your hands on the wheel until instructed to do otherwise. Very important.

All this gives you half a chance if the law person is a good person, and most of them are. Everything you do to make them feel safe is good, and you generally know exactly why they pulled you over so just admit it, it shows that you were aware of what you were doing. Never play dumb, they just write you off as a liar/idiot and there's no slack.

But, if everything goes well you might get a warning, or at least some mph shaved off the ticket.

All bets are off if a motorcycle cop pulls you over though. Still say the same things, but their only job is to write tickets. Motor cops are the guys who couldn't get a job catching criminals, and they have a complex about it. But they should still be treated with respect. They have a gun too, after all.

I don't want to say how many tickets I have not gotten by doing all of the above, but it can really help a lot!

And the universal rule, if you had any recent alcohol intake, is NOT to answer their question if you've been drinking with "I only had a couple of beers." Instant DUI. The only reason they would ask that question is because they already know.

Just say no sir/mam. If they smell it but can tell you aren't drunk from your initial interaction, it gives them some wiggle room. But they hear "I only had a couple of beers" every day, so it's an instant bust.

However, if they pull you from the car and ask for an FST or breathalyzer test, THEN ask you how many beers you really had, just shut the **** up. If a cop wants to make you a DUI they will, and you don't want that admission on record, just say something like you're driving back from a date or something and didn't keep track.

Those are the rules, passed down to me from decades of interaction with law enforcement, and being friends with several of the fine men and women who do the important work we all rely on every day.

When I was 16, I was pulled over for going 105 in a 60. Judge made my ticket $83 bucks if I promised to never speed again in his county. Also no points.

CALIFORNIA BABY!!!

got a ticket for reckless driving, i was skidding in an empty parking lot making a movie, someone didn't like that. I left and saw 2 cops behind me, pulled me over. Got a $300 fine, 5 points and an automatic 6 month suspension. Blah Blah Blah i have court on December 9th...

Except for one exception, the police don't have jurisdiction in a private parking lot regarding vehicular offenses. I went through the same thing, I'm also in PA. I got a $400 fine when all was said and done, but no points or driving offenses. The fine was for disorderly conduct (excessive noise). See, they can still find things you did wrong, in my case it was making excessive noise at 9:30pm. It didn't make my car insurance go up because no driving offenses were committed. The only catch is the owner of the parking lot can ask the police to press vehicular charges. Then you can get points and suspensions and all that good stuff. Mine was in an auto parts store parking lot, and the owner didn't care. The local Walmart has been doing that though... people are getting tickets for taking up more than one parking space and running the in-lot stop signs and stupid crap like that (although they usually deserve it).

Damn the man. (321fu)

Lets just say I went way to fast and i got my license back today...ive was suspended for 3 months so my 08 MS3 was sitting in my parking useles. Ive used it 3 time under heavy rain to get to work but I walked all the other time since its only 15 mins walk. I also did let my friend drive it on more then a few occasion. But still it was painfull.

Tonight I burned half a tank going around. Had a great time..

Ill be driving safe now, just wanted to shared with you guys...
