One of my bosses at my job is leaving soon (really sad to see him go, he was a great guy on & off the job). So we're restructuring at work. The owner decided to do this:
Have the other boss now oversee the entire department.
Delegate the old responsibilities of both of them handed out to 3 'project managers' who will each oversee some of our clients and projects.
I was chosen to be one of those 3 people! Don't know how much of a raise this will entail, we're going to talk about that later in the week as they're still figuring everything out (Rob leaving was a shock to everyone).
But I'm really excited, and I might be able to quit my 2nd job (retail @ Circuit City, although I may keep it, work a couple hours a week, just for the employee discount).
I'll keep you guys updated! I'm really excitied about this opportunity, and I'm very surprised they have considered me the best person for the job (I've only been here 7 months).
