Just finished MSP turbo install on MP3 & Bogging hard! HELP

I am throwing a cel. for the vtcs for starters. Anyways I just threw in my BOOST GAUGE and soon as I started up the car the gauge went to -10 on the vac side of the gauge and stood there. The needle never rose even while driving and letting the turbo spool up as much as it could without cuttin out. I gotta say it does seem to cut out a little higher the warmer it gets outside. But still I must have a prob wit my vac somewheres. The gauge is stuck on 10 downwards on the vac side from the time the car starts to when I shut it off. Does this sound familiar to any of ya?

So when the car is off it rests exactly on 0?

yea when the car is off its on 0. I have it hooked up to a vacuum block T-ed into my brake booster line. How have you guys hooked yours up??? any pics of vac blocks or brake booster T's? I wanna compare. Again no one has commented on the fact that I have no vacuum going into my manifold...actually to clear that up I have not added any other vacuum when I did my turbo kit other that wga and bov and now boost gauge and they are all running to the same vac block T-ed into the booster line. Kraziefox told me the correct spot to T into but I forgot. Just not sure if Im missing vacuum somewhere or what. No oem vac or solenoids from the msp were added. Just used some general vac lines to hook up those 3 things to my vac block. I cant help but think I T-ed in wrong which is why my gauge wont work...?

By the way the ss afc will be at my house this saturday! cant freakin wait, please cure my problem...please. Everyone who said it has something to do with colder weather, I think you may be right. It was a lil warmer out today and I took it for a ride. Still cuts and chokes at a certain point but not as fast or low rpm as before. Would like to get this gauge goin so I know what Im workin wit

those are the only things that you needed to add....however im thinking you might have t'd it into the wrong side of the brake booster line...(wrong side of the inline check valve)

unhook one of the lines and start the car then put your finger on it to see if it has vacuum

if I follow the line will I see the check valve? and should it be to the right or left of it. Im assuming there is vac though because as I said when I start the car it drops to 10 or even close to 20 on the vac side but never raises to boost. Pretty much just sits in the same spot while Im driving

see somethings definitely wrong because it should at least move to zero or close to it when you gas it even if you dont have a turbo

the check valve is inside the hose...you just gotta squeeze it till you find it and make sure the vacuum block is on the left side of it

I looked at your F/S thread...but there aren't any pics of your setup installed. I think it would really help if you got some pics of your engine bay as of now.

sure man no prob...its freezing outside right now but first thing tommorrow I will take a few shots and post them right here on this thread.

Thanks MP3-79BRONCO Im gonna check it out first thing tommorrow. I was wondering though if I did have it T-ed wrong how come my bov still works fine? idk Ill get back to ya tommorrow. And deff look out after saturday as we will all find out if the ss afc can fix the main issue or not.

yeah get those pics up so we can actually help you. If your having such a hard time just installing the boost gauge I would hold off and have someone more experienced do the split second....You can't risk ******* that up

no worries I do have some sense especially since the ss afc comes with directions. Like I said I just have no experience with turbo's. I even threw together the wet shot system and relays in my car within hours. (no I dont inject I just had it sitting around, was bored and used it for a purge - chics seem to like it) anyways you'll see the solenoids and lines and crap in my bay pics. I know I was gonna post today but worked a 14 hour shift. Tommorrow for sure as Im off and I expect the ss afc to arrive according to tracking. Super interested to see if that cures the problem I started this thread about in the first place.

keep in mind I did throw the entire turbo setup in my car in 2 days which Im told is pretty fast. I tried to do as much homework as possible on setups ect. but I never did claim to being the sharpest tool on the shelf so I turn to you guys. Till tommorrow, thanks again

ok guys here are some pics. Not sure if they will do any justice or not but maybe you can see something I dont. I included a pic of the T setup for vac to my vacuum block. You can see it T-ed into the brake booster (not sure if its the right spot or not) Either way this will solve my boost gauge prob.... waiting on the ss afc to arrive so I can hopefully solve my main issue.

hahah yep theres your problem the t is definitely on the wrong side of the check valve because you put it at the very end. so fell down the line and a few inches after the check valve, cut it and put the t there

lol dude one thing at a time. Right now the car is red but I havent gotten to the door jams or engine bay either and I had to use the couplers I could find, so yes its quite colorful.... By the way thanks alot mp3-79bronco
