Just bought my 2001 mp3, gotta question.

theres a swith just below my stick shift on the console that i cant see what it does. anyone know what it does? Also is there suppose to be some sort of a panel that covers up the fuse box down by the drivers left foot? Mine is just out in the open. Also i need to get an owners manual, so is there one special for the mp3 or would the regular protege manual work? thanks

yeah there should be a cover on the fuse box. as for the switch, there shouldnt be any. maybe the previous owner had some neon lights or something. i think the owners manual is the same as the regular protege.

Yup, no switch by the shifter. There is a cover. 2001 Protege manual, it has small stickers and notions in regards to the "Special Edition" for that year, which is the MP3.
