Just bought HID conversion

Sweet man, keep up the good work. Still a no go on the header though. . .and now i'm replacing the wheel berrings and need new rotors along with rims.

cool man. good luck taking the f-ing clips off the blubs on our headlights. biggest pain in my ass.

What color temp did you end up going with? I like how they put the color temp. comparison pictures up, and then in really small print the lumens showing that the 4300k have the highest light output.

Any reason you went with those instead of a forum sponsor that offers a lifetime warranty?

yeah the reason I got these is because they were alot cheaper. i paid 158.50 shipped, I hope they last. bye the way I got the 8000k

i got mine from a forum sponsor back in the day at full price it was a little less than 250. But i havent had a problem with them since i put them on. they are awesome.

Kinda figured that. Well, if you never have any problems with them then you'll have saved money. If you do..... well, cross that bridge when/if you come to it. :)

Bear in mind that the 8k bulbs give 600 lumens less light output than the 4300k, and that the bluish tinge will tire your eyes more easily at night.

that is true. i think you should think on getting a temp closer to 6k. i got 6500k on mine, and it has that little blueish tint but not all the time and its def more white than blue.

I have one problem with the kit one hid is a little brighter than the other the guy i bought them from told me to switch the bulbs between ballast and if the same side is dimmer then the ballast is the problem, and if the opposite side is dimmer then the bulb is the problem. He said once ido this and find whats wrong he will immeadiately shipped me new parts. does anyone know what could cause it to do this.

i would think that he is probably right and the ballast isbad and is not producing enough power to the bulbs so they light up correctly.
DO what he told you and hopefully he will send you the parts as he said.

He seems to be a good ebay seller he immidately responds to my email. well i did it and the problem is the ballast th seller said to ship him the ballast back and as soon as they recieve it they will send me anew one prioroty mail. I drive all night on the weekends so i'm going to ship it to him monday. will it hurt the bulb to use them while the ballast is like that.

Just put your regular halogen bulb back in that side and hook up the standard harness until you get the second bulb. You should still be able to leave the other HID bulb running.

except that would look really ghetto.lol
its not that difficult to remove the HID bulb and put the halogens in the meantime. You can basically leave the one ballast installed and still bypass it for the halogen bulb.
piece of cake.

The only problemis that i used the factory h7 adapters and cut the metal pieces out of them and made them into adapters for the hid kit. The seller told me as long as the bulb lights up that it will not hurt it. so i'm going to do what he says seeing that i cant go back to stock caus elack of bulb sockets. If it does hurt the bulb then he will replace it, but he claims it will not effect it. as soon as i get the new ballast in i will post pics.

say what?
you had to what?
I guess thats where they cut the price.
I never had to do anything like that to install my HIDs. I dotnthink im follwoing you correctly.
Which metal pieces? The bulbs themselves dont have metal pieces; it is a plastic connector. Did you have to remove your headlights to do this? Are you talking about the headlight socket?

no man i didn't cut anything on the headlights i'm talking about the little black sockets that hold your factory bulb. well extec comes with special adapters for the mazda 3 and other kits don't so instead of using rubber washers like everyone is doing on the other forum, I took the stock bulb socket then cut the back of it off and remove the two gold female connectors from the inside iof it. therefore i have custom adapters. I'll try to get a picture up when i have a chance if you don't understand. but no i didnt cut anything on the headlight, and the bulb sockets are only 11 bucks a piece so if i ever need new ones there no that much.

ahhh i think i understand what you did. Thats a good idea i guess but mine came with the right adapters.
I would like to see pictures anyway though.
