what did you mean by "not your typical rap music" because it sounds like everything else to me. the only hip-hop/rap i'm into is from early 90s (souls of mischief, del, gangstarr, jeru, das efx, etc). anything today sounds too much like R&B. i can't stand the singing.

i'm also into classic rock, 80s new-wave, trip-hop and electronic music. so i'm open for suggestions on anything you think I might like any rap that sounds like the back-in-the-day stuff??

I think he meant more that the message isn't the typical rap message. No bitches and hoes and bustin' caps crap.

There's a more positive message in the lyrics.

definitely sounds like every other rap song that has been made in the last 5 years, aka pop and why i don't listen to new rap anymore. i had a tough time understanding the skinny guy but from what i can tell by the fat guy's singing i assume it's christian rap? didn't MC Hammer go through a phase like that?
