ps- who doesn't have an iPod? Jeez, get with the times, fossil.

Never needed one! I have a 4gig MP3 player that I use to run with. My buddy is telling me to get a touch if I get one, but I could just use my phone for all that. It's got a 16gig SD card in it. Again, I'd need USB though.

Lol listen to this joker.

But about the BT systems, they suck for the people on the other end. I've 'experienced' a few of them, even one from the factory, and it's pretty much worthless imo. I'd just get a bluetooth ear piece if hands free is a huge issue for you.

I had BT on my Pioneer Double Din in my truck, it blew. People couldn't hear me, and it sounded like they were on Mega speaker phone. I know that's basically what hands free calling sounds like, but it still sounds like s***. Plus, I could never get it working right after I replaced the phone I first had when buying the unit.

Got to agree, can't think of the last time I played music in my car. It took the radio out of my Miata first thing, lol.

Lol listen to this joker.

I'm pretty sure Phen was being sarcastic, Wes. A musician who doesn't have a stereo in his car? I think I've heard him say "I need to fix my stereo..." 37 times this week. haha

Josh, you know I'm just kidding around. I haven't listened to a radio station in years, other than in your garage. I'm a music snob/nazi.

Hahaha! Someone worse than me!

Radio sucks though....I miss my music. :( I can't count the number of times I'll be channel surfing, and all 6 presets are at a commercial at the SAME TIME! WTF!?

Gee thanks Josh. ;) I have an aftermarket deck but was purchased by the fam as a Christmas gift a few years back and doesn't have a USB drive or aux jack for an ipod. I'd love to do the aux mod to it as I should be inheiriting my daughters ipod nano in June (she's getting a touch for her bday). Then I can be like all the cool kids. :D

Dang....iPod's are freaking expensive!? $150 for a 8gig Nano?? I already have 7 gigs of music! lol

Get an old 80GB 5.5G, you can store your whole music collection on it. Or if you're crazy about sound quality you can install rockbox on it so that you can play flac files.

Hmmm....water temp gauge is tempting. I've been toying around with adding some gauges for a couple of years now.

I need another gauge for the pillar pod. I'm getting a narrow band A/F gauge (yes I know, they're useless other than a light show, but that's ALL I WANT!) I just need something else in there.

I would recommend and oil pressure and water temp gauge at the least. Please dont buy a narrow band. I dont even know why they make those anymore.....

So what gauges will you have in the pod?

The A/F will be one, and I just need to decide on another.

Oil pressure might be beneificial though.

I agree with HKPRO5, don't get useless gauges. There's 4 useful ones I can think of: oil pressure, oil temperature, water temperature, battery voltage.

I don't consider them as useless as you guys. I just like the way it looks when bouncing around.....simple as that. If I get enjoyment out of that, then it's not completly useless.....to me. It's all about what floats the owners/builders boat. Carbon fiber mirror covers and wing are pretty useless....other than the person likes the way they look on the car. Swapping out the factory grill is useless, other than the owner/builder likes the way they look on the car. Canadian headlights are useless, other than I like the way they look over the chrome housing ones. etc.

It's just an aethstetic mod, that's it. I could easily sell the dual pillar pod and not run anything. It's just going to be stock, so I really don't need to be monitoring anything. I've just always been a fan of the look of gauges in the interior, from that aethstetic standpoint, and not from a usefullness standpoint because I've never been some super tuner that needs to check on every system in the car. I had boost gauges in my DSM's and Supercharged GTP, but I set the boost once and never touched it again. lol

ok if you buy a narrow band, buy it used. lol you can usually get them for less than $40.

There's a member selling one for $20 shipped, but it's the same one I've had in all 3 previously mentioned cars. Might be time for a different style. haha

If for some reason I can't get it hooked up, then I'll just return it and get one of the gauges you guys suggested. My brother shares my gauge views. We tried putting one in his TBSS, but couldn't figure out which o2 wire to splice to, he's got 4 o2 sensors! Nobody on the TBSS forums could help, other than the criticism on them being useless, so he scratched the idea.
