Hey im looking for an electrician job in alberta (calgary or edmonton ) I just finished my electrician corses . I live in quebec rigth now . On job booms and stuff there's not alot of constrution job listed , nearly none . So if someone can give me phone # to call or sites to check it would be nice .

You could also try a phonebook, I'm sure you could take your pick outta anyone in there and they'd hire. That's what my cousin did, and he didn't have any papers at the time.

Very true. A friend of mine is a project manager for an electrical company here in town (Edm, but most of their work is in Ft. Mac), and they are just crying for workers. You shouldn't have any problems finding a job.

I just looked on google earth and man fort mac is way up north lost in da sticks . I want something closer to Edmonton or calgary

4 hours noth of edmonton it is.

even the timmies there pays like 15/hr

Your best bet is to become a member of the unions here - IBEW or CLAC - if you aren't already. Most companies hire through unions and not directly.

Lethbridge or Medicine Hat would be good places if you want to be close to Calgary..... ....maybe even High River or Airdrie.

Lots of jobs here, I had 3 job offers when I graduated.

I went to SAIT for Geomatics (aka land surveying), its basicly a study of the shape of the earth and how to use GPS to determine positions on the ground.

My cousin is an electrician, and he works in Lethbridge. Also, Lethbridge has a university, you'll find some talent there.
