JL audio Subs??

I know a guy who got a Tsunami amp from Elemental Designs and loves it. It is a huge amp, but the price was cheap. It is good stuff though as is Avionixx from what I hear. It is not as expensive as other brands as it is an internet based company. I purchased a pair of Elemental Designs e12K.44's and love them. They sound almost as good as the SoundStream SPL12's that I used to have except they are half the price of the Soundstream. You also get a 3 year warranty with Avionixx I believe. Bad thing about JL is that they are pricey and have a s*** ass warranty. Not to knock JL because they make good stuff, but I never understood why their warranties suck if you decide to install it. I guess they are sick of people returning stuff they blew because they didn't know what they were doing when installing it.

BINGO!!

Alot of companies recentl,y lowered there warrenty period. Too many peiople doing dumb s*** like wiring 3 4 ohm subs to a 2 cxhannel sony amp and wondering why there trunk is on fire.

Hell I had a kidd come in thats ground wire ws melted back over 6" from the amp and the power wire was another 3".

The JL warrenty is only shorter if the retailer says it is. I basicly have descretion to give you the warrenty or not if you bought a sub from me and blew it.

1st MP3, did you ever see the Kenwood KAC 1021? it was the biggest Kenwood amp ever made. A guy completely fried it. I mean it was charred on the outside where the wires connected in there, melted fuse, and the PC board inside was melted. He asked us to send it in and paid for shipping. Kenwood received it (it was out of warranty), sent it back with a comment, you have got to be kidding me!! The thing is, was the guy was a fireman! It was his amp, so it wasn't like he took it out of a burning car (although it looked like it)!(flame2) What an idiot! He ruined a nice amp. He probably hooked up some power wire before grounding the thing! Another guy had a SoundStream Reference 500 and forgot to take the fuse out. He kept blowing it, so decided to replace it with a bigger fuse and left it in there. I didn't catch it (hell, I don't keep up with what sized fuse goes when the s*** is under warranty and going for repair), so it was automatically voided warr. The salesman was pissed at me (fucktard that he was). He tried to blame me for sending it in and not covering all bases. I hated that job. The people there SUCKED! Sad thing is, is that they were the most honest people in town. I worked there for 2 years and after leaving, they have a whole new crew. They won't give any ex employee discounts, so I don't buy from them any more. Besides, the owner is a real prick any way! He owns a couple of stores in the NC area.
