JDM_Pro5's Build Thread

Received my CR3 Latchless ADP yesterday!!!

Prepared my car for the install:

Relocated Horns (closer together and a little lower so they don't hit the plate)
Trimmed more off the inside of my grill with the drimmel (to avoid contacting the horns)
Plasti-dipped center radiator support Black
Removed the latch from my hood by drilling out the studs
Painted ADP satin black

It was half broken when I got the car. The car was in a front end collision in it's past. That driver's side headlight tab is broken too. I've tried fixing both and gave up. I have a friend sending me some custom bumper/grill mounting brackets that will attach to the frame and replace the headlight mounting tabs. For the time being, the grill is zip-tied to the frame and the bumper is attached to nothing.

Perks of a car thats been in an accident or an on purpose. Mine's been rolled (boom05)

I paid for a carfax when buying my car. It's had 6 owners been in a front-end collision, and stolen. First 2 owners put about 20k-30k miles on it each, then it left Cali, made it to Maine, and traveled south being sold dealer to dealer. I'm it's 3rd real owner. I pulled part of a security system out of my engine bay (could have stopped the car), there are holes under the steering column where a security device was. 3 months after I bought it, some trucked merged into my lane at the mall and crumpled my driver-side rear quarter panel

That thing sure has been around. At least its got a caring owner now :)

You callin' my car a *****!? jk...here is the day I got her.

You can see she had a replacement bumper with no clear on it, and no side markers. 1 of my four wheels was chrome. I've spent just as much money making her normal as I have modding. I had to rebuild the front end and get more body work done. I bet if it got hit again, it would be totaled. I would probably fix it again though lol

About to order a set of chrome headlight housings form Circuit so I can paint them for my retrofit. That way, when it's time to take my headlight apart, all I have to do is pain my reflector lens/bowl and assemble. No waiting all day for coats of paint. I plan on using the DupliColor Chrome Blackout kit to tint the housing and projector shrouds that badass gunmetal color

Well, she can't help it! It's not like she has the ability to talk... I wish my baby wasn't so issue-prone. But, I'm ranting now :)

The rims look lovely :) Can't wait to see installed pics. And the headlights. I just finished dialing in my retro after having it in for a few months. Stupid shroud fell off cause I didn't put it in right- that was my fault...

In case you missed it, I got the Morimoto Mini-H1 bi-xenon projectors, the Mini Gatling Shroud, and 4300 H1 Bulbs. I've already painted my cutoff shield Midnight blue to give the projectors a Blue appearance.

The plan is to make a gunmetal housing and a satin black reflector bowl/lens for the low beam. High beam will remain untouched for now. I'm using my existing ballasts from my DDM setup.
