So I've been thinking about my current setup and reflecting on my To-Do list. Of course things change while working on a car and new directions are chosen. I'm still sticking with my overall goal "A clean P5 that looks good, is reliable, and is fun to drive daily" I have no intentions of slamming my car or making it fast. It already serves it's purpose as a reliable DD and is fun to drive because, well it's a Protege. Some of these things on my To-Do list are things I would like but aren't necessary like the Mazda6 calipers.

One of the things that has changed would be the Fog lights. I absolutely love the giant stock rally fogs, but they don't work with the MSP lip without some cutting. My MSP lip came with fog deletes and I love the way it looks but I feel bad about having the setup for fogs and a button that turns nothing on. I've decided I want to find some fog setup that will fit in the small rectangular gap in the MSP lip and connect through the current fog connectors. I may have to buy some small aftermarket fog setup at a local autostore, wire it to the P5 fog connectors, and use some ingenuity to make it fit in the bumper. I'm not looking for a crazy powerful fog light, just something down there to shine through the Fog Delete grill for a cool look. Not sure if I want yellow or a light blue like my HIDs. I would like LEDs, and coudl always buys side marker lights and mount them vertically. I'll have to see what is available. I will check during lunch if I have time

2. Headlight bumper brackets

This dont see where the sedan support bar or bumper had it or came with it but being on the p5 makes it look like it needs it.maybe ill have to custom make one :/

Have some metal ones made. I forgot, the plastic tabs on the headlight the hold the bumper and grill are broken on my car. I had metal ones made and will attach those to the frame. They are in the mail as well

well sedan support is a hard plastic instead of metal so should be easier to screw something into it.

My lunch time fog housing resulting in THIS. These are full kits with wiring, switches, bulbs, mounting brackets, etc. Everything a ricer needs to mount fogs to their bumper. I may look online at housings and doing a custom job. I even considered side marker lights but the store doesn't carry any clear ones, only yellow/orange. If I can find a small housing that will fit in the existing MSP lip fog hole and sit behind the fog delete, I can re-wire it, find a bulb, etc. I want something that wont be obviously visible behind the grill. Might get a clear housing and tint it black.

It might be tricky to mount them in the fog delete section. There isn't much room to mount anything to back there. Unless you made a block off panel and mounted it to that or something. Just please don't buy a cheap Autozone foglight setup. I hate those blue lenses and dismal light output. Why not an HID fog light? Get some dimensions and see what's available online. I'm sure someone has mounted fogs in there before, no?

I've seen a yellow MSP on here with a small oval fog mounted behind the delete grill. I'm not shooting for cheap housings, just looking at size options. I don't want to run HID's since my low beams are plug'n'play. I wouldn't want to bother with four ballasts and power harnesses and the possibility of power issues. Maybe later down the road. Just sorta brainstorming what I can make work with my current setup. I could trim the MSP lip slightly to make something fit, just didn't want to hack a lot for the giant OEM fogs, also didn't like the round fog in a square hole deal.

I'm going to inquire in the MS section if anyone has fogs with their 3.5 lip

Modified my Crown Royal shift boot. Took some of the excess bag out, change the top where it meets the shift knob and added a nice wrap around the top. SInce the bag has been edited for a ball type shift knob, I brought back the grenade.
