jdm FS 2.0L engine (168 HP)

It was the FS-ZE engine, had the special cams and ECU I believe that give it the extra power. I don't think anybody can get the ECU to work though.

i am doing this conversion next summer.


I am putting in my Turbo engine in to my titanium MSP, just a head's up, I will be selling FS-ZE Engine, wiring harness and ECU, ready to plug and play for $1500 !!
 
okay well you will see it next summer. i made an agreement with my dad that if i get a full ride to college or a huge scholorship he will buy me the pistons and cams...
 
i am starting with that. i highly doubt cams and high comp pistons will only give me 7 hp even without the ecu. after that i will try to find an ecu. idk if it will be a complete build but im going for as much hp as i can get.

I mean you're talking about totally changing the way the engine breathes, and upping the compression a LOT without making ECU changes. It doesn't work like that.
 
But its fine if he buys the ecu....Imo you should juts find a used turbo kit, a lot more potential. Like probably near 200whp with minor mods like front mount and TBE, and a ss afc.

or kl ze swap, but i hear they were hard to swap because of all the wire. But that sound is probably worth it!

EDIT: seriously, dont try to convert it to a jdm engine. NOT worth it at all.

+1, ECU is needed. and this is my exact setup on the MSP, except for exhaust I just did a midpipe.

I'm not dyno'd, but before the midpipe, AFC, and upping the boost I put down roughly 160. Boost controller is on the way. I'll try to talk my buddy into letting me use his iphone dyno, then I'll at least have a comparison.
 
i have the mp3 ecu with advanced timing.... and i am just doing it to up the compression. culridr doesnt have a j spec ecu

What's the compression on the JDM pistons? Are they all 10.4:1? I think I've seen that somewhere b4.
 
So it seems like for the same amount of $$ you could have a good beginning of a turbo setup... Just my .02
