I'm new here and have a 2003.5 MSP with 157k miles and. it smokes pretty bad every morning thick white smoke so I'm wondering I found a 2000 jdm fs-de 626 motor and was wondering if it would swap into my car easily.

Are you talking about the FSZE? If so, then no. Very few ppl have successfully done a swap and I don't know anyone who's boosted it. If you mean the FSDE as the US motor then a motor from the 2000-2002 626 would be a straight swap although you can also use a motor from the 98-99 626's as well but with some modification.

Pretty sure I have an fsze in mine, had em weld a return line on the block is all, runs fine.
Got it from jdmenginescorp.com

I know this is digging something up but I have the same problem and I went to jdmenginescorp.com and I'm getting the 626 FS-DE. I was wondering is it plug and play or do I have to swap out some stuff?

Just because it's Jdm doesn't mean it's and fsze.

You will have to swap cam gears and crank pulley iirc

I was wondering if you did end up swapping for the fs-de from the 626. Also what parts did you have switch over from the original engine or did you simply drop it in and bolt everything on and it was fine. My other question is about hooking up the turbo to the fs-de engine because it didn't originally have a turbo.
