ya, the radar detector/laser jammer debate has been beaten to the ground by me and my friend from work...+_+; basically, i came to the conclusion that i don't really care to spend about $1,000 for the V1 + jammer for a system that will only tempt me to go faster, which is REALLY bad cause then when i DO get caught, i'm just going straight to jail...

getting up to speed in blazing fast time is good enough for me...=D

Best investment I ever made. I've been hit with laser once since I first got my detector and it was by a state trooper on the side of the road. With laser you can only hit the person oncoming or going not from the side. That's why on the interstate like I-95 which is local to me it's all about K-Band because they hide in the median.

I have been rolling the a V1 since 1999. Zero tickets. It has saved my ass dozens of times. Best $400 I ever spent.

But, if you are speeding and getting shot by laser, you are probably boned since they have such a narrow dispersion it is most likely that you are in the cops cross hairs.

I love my V1 as well! It's definitely paid for itself over the year or two that I've had it. I dont speed all the time, but it's great to have that piece of mind. No matter what though, dont be the fastest car in the bunch (but that wont help always.)

I was heading on a 2 hour road trip to the mountains by myself. All one highway, 65mph, straight. I see a Benz coming up fast on me. It was some kind of older E55 AMG. That dude was older and with his wife and rolled by me at like 95! Well, I wanted to make some good time too, so I followed. He has some cheapo radar detector in his windshield as well. So here we go, 90-100mph making good time, my little Speed churning like 4k in 6th gear... and my V1 beeps.. then more and more... I'm on the brakes and away the Benz goes. We go under a bridge, he NAILS the brakes harder than I've ever seen, the cop pulls out and pulls him over... I'm justa grinning as I go by at 65. V1 FTMFW!

Just remember, when your V1 alerts and the arrow points straight ahead, don't do what this guy did.
