is this normal?

as of lately since it got cold my car's been actin weird. once the car is started and warmed up if i push the clutch in and put it in gear the rpm's climb to about 1200 but if i put it in neutral the go back to 800 or so?

Computer stuff. Its trying to keep the engine running untill warmed up. In gear it thinks you have someware to go.
