Is there a ECU chip for the Mazda 2?

Well I would suggest you do your mods first then datalog the car and then have us write a new file for it.

Ok, sounds good. Install after market parts first, Datalog and then Reflash. And BOOYAH!

BTW, exhaust mods are good on the 2, but so far, I have not seen a single intake that does not lose tq on our dyno. Mazda did their homework on this set up, and in fact it works quite well until you get into the higher flow heads

I see, so how does one go about fixing the higher flow issue?

What's the explanation for such a range in results? Is the low end for stock? and the high end for a data logged, exhaust equipped set-up? What causes the gap of +10 -18 hp?

So, let's say the average "user" nets 10 more hp with a quick flash. That's about 10% increase in power, in terms of a $/hp figure, that's great.

Believe me, if I could get 10% more power out of any other car for that little work, I'd be all over it. Too bad I'm broke.

Scam Alert !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stay away from Dynotronics AKA Dp Tuning !!!!!!!!!!!

Personally contacted the Pisiani brothers in Italy, like a year ago, they did not even know what Dp Tuning was advertizing..

Do some research to see how many people they have scammed and deceived !!! Including myself.

Don't say I didn't tell you guys !!!!

Andres,

Care to share specifics? Because I googled it, and all I found so far were more or less happy stories. Wonder what happened to you...

Hey I'm not even going to link my issue yet so you don't say I am unfair....

Andres,

Thanks, man, that's helpful. And I wouldn't take your story as a sign of your being unfair (so it'd be interesting to hear, but you might have reasons to not tell your story).

Taking into account that people often feel a placebo effect, the number of negative stories, absence of any objective proof (only subjective "feeling" of power increase), I probably agree that this is most likely a scam. The guy most likely just pockets the money and doesn't do anything with the ECUs being sent to him. People most of the time "feel" power/torque increase. Some of them care to run dyno tests - and don't see any difference. There's also a chance of ECU getting fried somewhere en route. Or they might be really doing something, but the effects are greatly overstated.

Good to know. I'll stay away from them.

The guy must have done something good for some people, but down the line I think he got greedy and started false advertizing. I didn't loose that much money dealing with him just some mailing fees; but I lost many weeks with my car parked when I was developing for National Competitions. He lied to me and other people, also other people lost money with him.

This is happened to me last year, don't want to get into details even got emails from other people that had issues with him (took the name off):

Andres-

Don't worry, you are right. I know because I have been "working" with this guy for over 4 1/2 months, have spent well over $1,000.00, and now my car is WORSE than stock.

I have waited well over 3 weeks for shipping a couple of times, he has told me he has shipped but hasn't, he broke my ecu,; He is a mess.

Please don't discuss any of this yet, as I am still into him for all of that money and i've got to get him to make things right.

I will be posting my whole ordeal soon, if I can get my car back together and get away from him, but don't let any of those other guys tell you you're wrong. Joe is the bad guy, not you.

I still did not post the link to my issue, just other people experiences... I'm no using bad words either , just facts. Why are you changing your name for a third time? DP tune, Dynotronics , Jmac36, whatever name to clean your bad rep?

BTW I finished my MR2 project and did very well at Nationals, to the point that because of this many people are building their Spyders following my 2 years research.

Like I said you probably have done good things for some people but also you have lied to many, that's a fact.

End of the line here you guys have been warned.

PS. I'm not a teenager behind a computer , I'm 47 years old Dentist with a masters degree and professor in Dental School for many years. Autocrossed locally and nationally since 2001, and last year I Re-established the SCCA Florida Region Solo Program.

Dont' mean to sound whack but no need to disparage the MR-S. :( I had one. Great car. Very capable car. Very worth it. But i understand if it wasn't a viable car to invest in. Especially in the US. (usa)
