Is the MP5 a "girl" car?

"Oh but it IS a four-door hatchback...NOT a grocery-getter!" There is no way a grocery-getter could ever be this cool...I love my MP5!

any car can be a girly car if people want to say that
some people say VW golf is girly but i don't think so.
Maybe hatchback car have a look of girl car. ( some ppl think that but not me)
I think echo is girly....

i agree with uclap5, its a stupid argument......there is no such thing as a girl or boy car...........any car can be made to suit men and women......now if you painted your car pink, then your friend would have a legitimate argument......i think hes jealous cause you have a new car and he has a discontinued car.......

hey protejay5, it's not really an argument, I just thought it might make an interesting thread. To be honest, it's only the owner's opinion that really matters anyway. I just love hearing what people think.:D

Okay, so yesterday I'm driving home, got the POD blarring on the stereo and in my pariphial I see someone waving at me. Some babe was telling me how much she really like my car. She was in some Oldsmobile and said she's been looking at them for a while now. I just sit there with a smile and speed off. The babe was about 65 years old, no s***!! That was embarrassing.

yea, i think this is kind of a sad story too, when my parents went to buy their p5 (i got my p5 from my parents) the salesmen said "we thought this car was going to appeal to all the kids, but so far you are the youngest couple we have seen buy one" my parents are in their high 30's and early 40s

damn i have heard just the opposite, my dealer told me that our cars are becoming more and more popular with the younger generations(im pretty young myself at 18). I don't care, I still love my baby. I wonder who the oldest and youngest people on this forum are?

well.. I'll be 29 in May.. that is pretty old. :D

chiming in:

I think the P5 is a perfect guy's and girl's car. Its sporty and fun to drive. It has fog lights and a body kit standard which guys like. It has a roof rack (welll some do) for the outdoorsy type who use it to haul bikes, skis, canoes, etc. This could be appealing to both guys and gals. Its got more room than a small (and some mid sized) sedan to haul stuff, but it isn't a gas guzzling SUV. However, it has a wagon body style. My g/f wanted an Escort wagon when she was in HS (don't ask). And the overall body style is cute, yet aggressive.

Absolute girl cars IMO:

Any convertable that is not a sports car. (VW Cabrio fits here, along with the Chrysler Convertables, Cavilier Conv, etc...)
why? because no guy in his right mind would want to be seen. really seen, in a car that isn't sporty.

Another one, which people will yell at me for, is the Eclipse and the 99-01 Cougar. I see more women driving these cars than men for some reason. Excluding the AWD GSX. I know a handfull of guys that own them, but any time I pull up to one at a stop light, its always a girl, or a group of girls.

And this one I'm not sure about but...compact SUVs. Why? First of all, why buy an SUV that isn't 4WD or AWD? I know some have the option, but it isn't a popular one. And some of them have less room that our P5s! Completely impractical. They take the Utility out, and I wouldn't consider any SUV sporty to begin with. Not to be racist, but I usually see short asian women driving these... talking on their cell phones and driving like maniacs.
