Is the MP5 a "girl" car?

I was talkin' to a friend of mine the other day, when he made the forbidden comment that "all Protege5's are girl cars." I strongly disagree! No offense to female P5 drivers(everybody I have talked to on this forum says that yall are the greatest), but why is that the common opinion about our cars? When I think of a true "girl" car, the only one I can think of is the new VW Beetle. I honestly don't care what he thinks, but I just wondered if anyone else(girls too) had an opinion on this issue.

It's a 4-door hatchback, not a "grocery-getter"!

dude ive never heard anyone say that the p5 is a girls car. i think its not a common opinion, at least not where im from. If anything i always see older people drivin it, haha. But thats good, cuz that means that it wont become as common as a civic or accord(not that i hate em), its just i like that fact that our cars are some what unique, especially like fixed up n what not.

Here's what you should do MP5driva, go around town taking pictures of girls driving around in cars like you friends car if he even owns one. then go back and tell him how you didn't know his Ford Ranger is a chick truck. See if that get's him going.

Of course, I don't know if you're friend drives a truck but it seems like guys with big trucks seem to have that kinda mentality of girl/guy car. Either a truck or a muscle car.

besides, name one single car or truck that does not have a huge number of women driving them. There isn't.

If by being a chick car they mean that chicks like it, what the hell is wrong with that?! I'm a married man, so its no use to me, but if I was single I would use the "cute" car angle with anyone who cares. I've had a few chicks ask me about around town.

the only girl car i can think of other than the beetle is the V6 automatic mustang...at least in my area. my school is pretty rich so it seems like 1 in 3 girls has a v6 automatic mustang, but not many guys have 'stangs

My friend drives an older prelude, and he honestly didnt mean anything of it, cuz if he did i would have beat his ass. He is actually a great guy; he was the first guy to show up to help me after I wrecked my P5.

personally in my opinion, i dont think any car is set to a specific gender, i mean yeah vw were to appeal to women cuz of the flower holder, but i saw a guy that ripped that off slammed his bug to the ground on some 18's and 15% tint turbocharged it its one of the fastest beetles i ever seen and in no way does it look like a girls car, secondaly pt cruiser myth. Definately isn't a grocery getter, have u seen one decked out.. doesn't look girlie to me, i think it appeals to the older generation hence its old panel wagon looks. the mp5 yeah its a grocery getter stock, but slammed to the ground on a nice set of wheels with a few mods its no longer a grocery getter but the coolest sports wagon around. Personally cars are owner dependant. Left stock i can see were you get its a girls car, but moddified, theres no telling. Like i had a 95 geo tracker dropped about a half inch of the ground it was dark purple had chrome wheels that stuck out a inch on the sides it was slammed and everyone thought i was this lil black guy when i got out of the car they were like man i thought u were black. anyone that knows me im 6'2 and white as a ghost You make the car to fit ur personality. Most cars are set at the factory to aim to hit a certian types of ppl, but with a few mods it could really go either way.
