Is our silver a single or double coat paint?

im in desperate need of a paint job and maaco told me my silver was a double coat so they charged me more.. is it double or single coat?

And I think its only a single layer paint. I think the only 2 colors that arent is the spicy and the yellow.

If u want to paint it to sell it ,then go to maaco but if u want to keep it for a while and put a smile in your face every time u look at her ,then do it right the first time. Wish I could tell u if it were single or double coat. Google might have a answer or try calling the dealership and act like your interested in buying the paint from them and want to know if it's a single or double coat .

i just need to get it to look good to sell it. you can't beat their price.. 1300 for full body plus some dent fixes.

Almost every car since the late 80s and early 90s has two stage paint. Base (color) coat with a clear coat over the top. Porsche was one of the last hold outs with their red colors.

i know this.. but some colors have multiple coats for the base (color) coat. some even have 3. i think the spicy is a tri coat just to get that color. thats why its so hard to match

its a basecoat/clearcoat paint =double coat.
I just resprayed my roof today.
