is it just me or major design flaw?

your time to react is an issue with crossed legs.

I don't believe that it is. The only time I would ever do this is with cruise control on empty highway (the only time I use CC...). And even then, I'm a drummer... I have faster feet than the average bear. :p

What should scare you are people texting while weaving through traffic in their Eclipse. Saw that last night. Woman may as well have been driving with her eyes closed.

ha.. I did. I'm usually very picky about seats/seating position and ability to have no blind spots etc. But I cant go higher. Maybe just a bit..
right now I found best setup except that 'knee' issue.

I'm 144 by 5.9.. legs are not that long lol
I get cramps if I cannot keep my right leg extended. Had the old car modded to allow that. The MS3 has a gas pedal I care not to mod, so I often drive with that shoe off. that solves the cramping.

for you, I would try strengthening the knee joint with some simple exercises that you can do at your desk or watching tv

Im 6'3, 175 lbs. I sit with my seat all the way back, pretty much straight up, and the only issue ive found is ass numbness after a long drive lol. My knee doesnt hit the center console or the side, its actually higher up and in open space next the the shifter.

You wanna see driving issue with your legs? Drive a Chevy HHR SS! My legs are claustrophobic in that b****!

Same here. My knee doesn't hit the console. And your suppose to slide your seat back as much as comfortably possible so the air bag doesn't slam into your face. You want your face to hit the air bag. Did not know this was an issue for some.
