Ipod Input not working

Is their a special cable that you need to have your ipod work through the plug in in the middle console? I went to best buy and got a run of the mill auxiliary cable and when i plug it in nothing happens. Does mazda sell their own auxiliary ipod wire?

No it's just a standard stereo 3.5mm cable. Do you have sirius installed? If so they both use the same port on the back of the HU and so the sirius disables the ACI. What year do you have?

2007. yea i have sirius too. i never thought about that. is their anyway i can have both work at once? like an adapter?

Yes. Mazda makes a switchbox (misnomer as there aren't any switches) that plugs into the HU and has ports for both the sirius and ACI. You then access each of them as you normally would...... SAT for sirius, and MEDIA for the ACI. The switchbox runs around $113 or so, and you can find the p/n in my audio input thread stickied at the top of this forum.
