Greetings everyone!

I just wanted to officially say hello and compliment you all on a very helpful and friendly community! I have been lurking in the shadows for several months and finally decided after owning my speed for the past month and a half I'd come out of hiding and participate. I lurk on several performance forums and can't help but get irritated with the incessant hating on other cars. If I was rich I can assure you all I'd have many different cars all for very different reasons!

In short, I am a 30 something form the Northwest that is a huge automobile nut. I bought my 2008 speed3 GT because I wanted a practical performance car or truck that was impressive stock. This is my first turbo vehicle and so far I find it comparatively addictive to the feeling of the powerband of say a Banshee or any number of high performance 2 strokes. I've always dreamt of owning an EVO or STI but the dollars just don't add up for me at this point in my life with kids and all. Thank you for the opportunity to join you all!

Cheers!

Welcome! Be sure to check out the excellent how-to section on this forum. Its a friendly community for the most part, but keep the BS filter on for your own protection.

Don't worry, you haven't shorted yourself. It is a car in its own class. Welcome. Hows the family like it?

I'm in your same demographic. Wife, Kids, car nut with a budget.

And yes please make sure you turn on the BS filter.

same here bub, if i had the $$$ for an evo 9 i would have gotten it , but i dont regret owning my 07 speed 3 for one second. ( i just wish they would stop making them , i dont want to see any more out there, shhhhhh)

If I had the money I would still get my MS3 but...

I get a CX-7 GT for a second car/the winter :-)

I just don't see the point of an EVO or STI unless your going to the track- which I'm not.
