interest in fmic local san diego speed shop

hopefully tomorrow the cores will be in I sat around all day friday waiting for ups and no delivery.

I'm living in San Diego now.... would be more than interested in checking the FMIC out once its done as I'm looking for one currently

BTW: Is there anywhere in San Diego to get higher than 91 octane gas? I'm so used to 93 and 94 making me go insane getting 91 now bleh

I will keep everyone up to the minute posted believe me I am waiting because I want to do my downpipe but I have to wait for the intercooler so everyone can see the hp gains with the new ic

Not that I know of...thats Cali for ya...craptastic gas.

I just talked to pann and now PWR is making cast endtanks with this intercooler which is alot better but is adding to the return time. they just found out about this so they are trying to get an E.T.A. on the cores. well I am off to go to the D1 race tomorrow hope to see some msp there

GOOD NEWS
Pannauto just called and they recieved the intercooler so I will be dropping off my car in the morning so they can put it all together so I will have some pics soon once they have it fitted.

what kind of finish would the piping have? would it be similiar to HiBoot kit? that looks great with the polished Injen that I have. Also, did you find out the price for the hard piping kit without the intake for us Injen owners?

Will this kit have the inlet and outlet pipes on the same side as originally planned? I think a shorter inlet pipe that is inherent with this design -- such as the Hahn intercooler -- may be a better way to go than the long and winding path around the radiator.

I am not sure if they have decided on the finish whether it is stainless or powder coated I will get all the little details sorted out tomorrow. Also the reason they did not go with the inlet outlet on the same side is that those intercoolers still have a problem with heatsoak and you cannot run as much horsepower. They felt that that the added piping is a valid tradeoff to the single inlet outlet. Believe me I felt that the same side inlet outlet was better too but they have convinced me otherwise. so I am going with there professional opinion.

I have the next two days off so I will be posting the pics of the hardpipes and intercooler. The pics will be of the mild steel ones that they made two sets of to have mass produced for the kit. I will be posting tomorrow.

Well I have all the pics and dyno#s I had to transfer them to cd over at costco but they are not open yet but I will give you a great bit of news, horsepower went up from 163 to 184 and torque increased by 30ftlbs I know have wheelhop in second gear when I punch it. but I will have photo proof in an hour hopefully once I get the cd from costco...You can now call pann to get details...858 278 7266
oh yeah who is going to rev it up down at qualcomm?

just ordered my fmic from wagner. why you ask? no cutting, and since this i no longer the hahn style core there is nothing special about this one anymore. plus rather have a spearco core than the pwr one.
