Insurance co. totaled my car

Actually my 9 month old 2008.5 speed 3 was totaled in a flash flood last Saturday. Car only had 8,500 miles on it. I drained the oil and mostly water came out and the front passenger area was soaked. Now I have to find a new daily driver. I have a 2001 Audi TTQR but it isn't a good "around town" car.

What really sucks is that last Sunday was going to be "garage day". The new Cobb SRI, Forge BOV, and the spin on oil filter conversion were going on.

If any Houston peope are interested in this stuff (and a couple of oil filters, synthetic 5x30 oil and some other odds and ends) hit me up.

Glad I took out the GAP insurance. I won't owe a dime on the car unless it doesn't cover the deductible. Oh well, just means I get to pick up a new car. Thinking about a 6. Any info you can give me would be appreciated.

Haven't seen the 2010 yet

But I'm not loving the happy grin on the new 3. May drive the Audi until the new one comes out and see how I like it.

you should ask the inssurance company how much they want for the car.

I am shocked they are totalling it. draining the motor and flushing it is common. Oh well, just as well for you eh? Find another car just like yours with zero miles on it and start all over. I would. Mine is in the shop now, get it back tomorow and I have been having nightmares that they total it and I can not find another one... There isnt another car I want in this price range.

I am interested in the spin oil filter conversion though and I live in H-town...

The water in my neighbourhood got really high, but my driveway was high enough to where it only got to the bottom of the rim...
