Instrument Panel Glass (Plastic)

Hello,

We just bought a new Mazda 5 and so far are really enjoying it. One thing we noticed however, is that the glass (plastic) which covers the instrument panel is "fogged up" all the time. I'm not sure how else to describe it other than to say it is fogged up. I have tried to clean it a few times but nothing seems to work. Has anyone else run into this, and if so did you find any way to get rid of it?

I thought I remembered a thread on this once before, but I did a search and could not find anything.

Thanks for your help.

the plastic LENSE has been permanently damaged by chemical cleaners... it will need to be replaced... if it came that way, I would talk to the place you bought it from

go to a motorcycle store and buy a can of plexus, It is a cleaner used to clean plastic windshields on motorcycles. It can be used to polish out the fog in your lens if you dont want to attempt replacement. Be sure to use a soft clean cloth.

or any major hardware store....

Thanks for all the responses. I took it to the dealer, who told me they have never seen anything like this. They have ordered a new replacement glass and will do the install. All under warranty.
