Lemme know what ya think cuz i also painted it, notice its not chrome!!!!

nice bro, i just installed mine today too...i didnt even pull the wheel i just turned it to the left and it gave me plenty of room..the hardest part was taking the plastic piece for the vacuum tube out of the stock airbox..the rest i did in about 1 hour. I like the blue it looks as though it came that way. what type of paint did you use. i like how its not to shiny.

I just used an anti-corrosive spray paint, made sure to purchase a spray paint that wasn't a glossy, i like flat colors, i've used that same can on my badges and on the intake and soon accents on my wheels

looks good man! welcome to the injen family! lol :)

btw, you should of left it chrome lol im not a big fan of the color blue. :p

mine is black! black is better than chrome and chrome is better than blue! haha :)

I've Had My Injen on for about 2 1/2 Yrs I like it a whole lot better then the AEM intake. I have left mine polished..... The plan has been to smoke-out the polished finish, but I can't find the duplicolor metalcast paint to smoke it. Just as a note you guys should invest in a hydroshield or bypass valve to help prevent CEL or water entering the MAF or engine.

The only real way of hydro locking is if the filter is dipped into a puddle of water, or completely submerged. I've driven through heavy, heavy rain, and my engine didn't suck up any water.
I actually do have a bypass valve from AEM, but I'm just not willing to cut the piping. Not yet anyway.

Actual cutting the pipes need to be done, and in a sort of specific order of what comes first.
If you don't know much about cutting pipes and fabricating and such, it's best to either go to a friend that's much more knowledgeable, or get a shop to do it for you.

You do not need to cut the Injen CAI to install A Bypass valve, The intake comes is two parts, Now the AEM part does need to be cut.

Ooh. Okay. Yeah. That would've been nice for my intake to come as 2 pipes. That way, you can actually make it into an SRI if not a CAI.

damn thats odd the maf looks almost like the mazda protege 1.6l maf.....hmmm

EVERYTHING is better than a nasty polished silver. BLECH.

I never painted mine, although, I always keep mine nice and clean. I might clean my engine tomorrow or Friday before the next cold from arrives. Our high today is suppose to be around 70, although our high on Friday/Saturday will be 80. (stash)
