Installed HID Fogs...

If you look in your foglight housings you will see a metal cylinder. I removed those.

I can't link directly but here are the pics showing what needs to be done. You will remove the fog light relay and then will be adding in the purple wire with spade connectors. I know that the car this is being done on is not an MS3 but rather a regular Mazda3 with OEM HIDs there are a number of MS3 GT owners that have done this and found it works great! Your fog lights also stay on for about 5 seconds after you turn your car off and then shut off with this mod. The nice thing is that it is easily reversible back to stock for those dealership visits.

Will this work for a sport model? someone asked but it was never answered(or i missed it and cant read) but i would like to know. i have a sport with aftermarket HID's and my fog HID's are on the way.

As far as I know, no it will not. I could be wrong though.

damn those are bright....are those 35 or 55w? I just ordered apexcone 35w 3000k. Hopefully they will look like that! haha...you have a pic with ur headlights on too?

You will have to post pics when you get them installed. I paid $50 for the
Luminics titanium white fogs and they just don't seem worth it. I might as well make the jump to real HID's.

The second photo shows where the fog relay would have been...

You have to remove the relay to put the 2nd spade in the right spot.

if your car is newer than 2006, you need 9006 bulbs. Only 04-06 models used H11 fogs.

there is a slight difference in the locking mechanism of the bulb. But it is not enough to really be a difference.

Just so others know. DDM performance has HID kits starting at around $35

thanks. so ill get the 9006. but i have the GT so do i need a kit or just the bulbs. im really uneducated about lights. thanks
