Any problem disconnecting the - battery terminal after the installation...but before starting the car? The idea is to re-program the oxygen sensor correct?

correct...disconnect negative, pump the brakes a few times, reconnect, start car...voila!

You might as well just disconnect the negative terminal when you start taking things apart and then reconnect it when you're finished. That way it'll drain/reset/whatever while you're putting your Injen in and you won't have to wait the 10 minutes or however long before you can hop in and start reving your engine and thinking how awesome your new CAI sounds.

matthew, I know you mentioned pumping the brakes a few times before. If there is NO ABS does it matter. I did it anyway as per your prior instructions. Just curious
So the battery disconnect does not matter before or after the install...as long as it is before the startup...right?

for your first question i havent the slighest if ABS matters. im pretty sure the pumping of the brakes is to remove the last of the electricity in the system after disconnecting brakes.

as for your second question, it doesnt matter. i normally disconnect stuff first out of habit. but you could start up the car and disconnect later. it doesnt really matter, and some people argue it isnt necessary to disconnect ever unless you get a CEL.

Does you Injen CAI make any noise after the engine shuts down? Mine sounds like it is still "sucking" air. Kinda strange.

yeah, it's air coming back out of the tube once the throttle body closes. the pressure inside the tube is greater than the pressure outside the tube, so when you shut down the engine, the pressure gradients even out and a gush of air comes back out the tube, sorta like what happens when you open a bottle of soda.
